Congrats buddy! You can install both the rear and the front yourself, I watched/helped @TacoSTIG do both of his. This will be my next big mod.

 

Thanks. I've done a rear rebuild a couple of times on my 83 pu. I miss that truck. Should not be any different. The only pain in yhe ass I forsee with the front is pulling the axles out.

 

I drove @northwesttaco truck yesterday to get a feel for the gears before I placed the order. I hope I made the right choice to go with 4.56. If not a supercharger next year should make make up for it.

Was thinking about hitting up Range 15 this Friday. Been awhile since I've pulled the rifles out and that's one of my favorite spots around here. However, some guy I was chatting with in the ammo isle told me they are no longer open to the public? Can anyone confirm/deny this? Last I heard, public was allowed, but just paid $7.50 instead of the $5.00.

Anyone non-military been out there recently?

 

If anyone has a a/f gauge, where did you have the bung welded on the exhaust?

 

I had mine done at a Bucky's.

 

My bad, I mean where on the exhaust is the bung located? What did it cost to do?

 

I run mine on the collector. On our truck you would run it precat

 

I think it was like $50? I did mine right in front of my cat. Just make sure it's not on the bottom of the exhaust pipe. You want it angled so stuff (moisture, crap, etc) doesn't foul it up.

 

I went hunting for four days and three nights solo style. Unfortunately didn't shoot anything but pictures. A 2x2 mule deer walked right into my camp while I was cooking breakfast. Other then that it was all doe's and spikes.

 

What area where you in?

 

Close to Entiat. Entiat River Rd and then all the forest roads that break off from there. WABDR goes though there as well which is what is shown in the last picture.

 

I'm up for wheeling! Been away for a few weeks and now working my way through the posts.

 

How was your weather? I stayed pretty dry in republic, had a few squalls but was about 60° the whole time during the day. We moved over to tunk valley where a friend lives and it was nice there too, no rain and a light wind. Missed a nice 3pt whitetail and saw nothing but mulie does.

Found an old junk yard in the okanagon national forest.

 

I was near the Entiat on Saturday and it was decent weather till about 10AM, then the rain/fog came in.

 

I only got rained on at night and I was usually snuggled up in the tent by then. coldest it got was 39 one morning when I woke up. Only grouse I saw was on the paved road where I could shoot lol. People were getting deer out there though. The lucky ones I guess. Most people I saw were truck hunting.

 

Yeah we didn't hear any gun shots till almost 9am most days and very little after that. Woke up to heavy frost Wednesday morning in tunk.

 

Yeah I've been off here for a good couple months. May have to wait til next weekend though. Want to do more planning

 

No problem. I don't have anything going on next weekend.
I can do a day trip, but not overnight.
