    Hi All,
Picking up my 2017 TRD Sport DCAB tomorrow and I'm moving away from leather back to fabric seats. I'm curious how people feel the durability is on the new gen Tacoma fabric seats. Are seat covers necessary?!

Cover them if/when you wear them out. Four years in and my wife's Rav4 fabric seats are in perfect shape.

Do consider treating with 303 Fabric Protector. A 32oz spray bottle will do the four seats in a double cab.

I put seat covers on my rear seats to protect from kids and they are amazing. Bought from shear comfort. Can't say enough good. Had my truck since April and didn't get covers for the fronts. Drivers seat is showing a little fraying where my ass slides across the seat when I get in. Because of that I am going to be ordering front covers from shear comfort. I got neoprene for the rear, but am thinking black leather for the front.

    None. Yet.
I haven't had any issue with fabric seats. But, I did go ahead and purchased seat covers due to work and animals.
I have CalTrend NeoSupreme Seat Covers and I like them!

Neoprene is awesome. The only reason I didn't initially get the fronts is I like the upholstery so much. Not saying theta anything wrong with the upholstery but the tiniest fraying irritates my ocd so it must be covered lol

I haven't had any problem in my Taco yet, but did have trouble with that in the previous vehicle I owned, so just went ahead and pulled the trigger. I do like the look of them too. The black/gray 2 tone gives it a good look, I think.

I have fabric in my 2017, I guess I didn't think about the durability versus the leather. Although being in the car business for so long. I've seen both fabric and leather get destroyed.
