That is correct, I have done both The Slot and Diablo Drop Off.
    Regarding The Slot:
It is VERY STEEP, at least to me it was. The sand is EXTREMELY SOFT and you feel like you're going down a "step at a time". The "potholes", if you will, will most definitely tip your rig from one side to the other as you are going down and depending on how much flex, or lack thereof, you have on your suspension, you may "tip forward" a bit down each step. Just keep your wheels straight, as much as possible, and brake accordingly. To panic when your rear end is A$$ UP in the air is NOT a good thing, so don't panic, just take it fairly slow. Btw, with regards to braking, as your rear wheels start coming off of each "step", you have the sensation of feeling like your sliding down hill at the same time that you're braking?! I really don't know how else to describe it other than a "controlled slip", LOL!!! You are ALMOST guessing on when to apply the brakes and when to release???!!! LMAO!!! When you go down it, you will hopefully understand what I am trying to describe???!!! From top to bottom, I would say it is approx 100yds in length. It starts to smooth out towards the bottom, maybe 40yds or so from the flat surface. Either way, it is NOT that hard, but DOES look a bit intimidating at first... for me at least.

    Regarding Diablo Drop Off:
I know it was asked about, just saying that I've been, I would have to say that the "name" sounds like you're a F'N GONER, LMAO!!! Again, depending on how much flex, or lack thereof, you have on your suspension, your rig may "tip forward" a bit from time-to-time!!! It is a VERY LONG hill, but NOT hard at all!!! Not much to say about Diablo Drop Off other than it too is fairly soft sand, but NOTHING like The Slot!!! OMG, WALK on the "trail part" of The Slot, and you WILL see how SOFT that sand is!!! I do wonder though, since the angels above just took a leak on us, if that sand is a bit "hard packed" maybe???!!!

I hope this somewhat helps in answering some questions about The Slot?

Have fun and safe travels to ALL!!!:fistbump::cheers::mudding:

Mike, The Slot IS doable in 2wd. My friend had a 2009 PreRunner and that was my first experience with The Slot was IN THAT rig!!! I CAN tell you that to get to the slot, I HIGHLY recommend that the person going should have "rear locker capability"!!! Some of those hills are pretty steep going up with loose rock and dirt!!! My friend had to engage his rear locker and GUN UP THE HILL when it called for it, LOL!!! Just be very, VERY CAREFUL to stop when you reach the peak because at one of those hills, at the very top, you make a fairly SHARP LEFT at the top because if you continue to go straight, you're in for a SHI* STORM going off the edge and into a VERY DEEEEEEEEEEEEP VALLEY type terrain!!! At least that is how I remember the one part???!!! But yeah, that trail was done in a 2wd rig, but DID have issues from time-to-time because of, again, loose dirt and rock going up hill!!!

Btw, @Maggot61, @Mike likes Tacos, @Redfive11, @MostEpic, and @CaptainReverso :given recent events, I am NOT trying to start a fight here as I hope Steve doesn't get mad at me for whatever reason there may be... but, those are my personal experiences going THROUGH The Slot (read my post above if you haven't already). Again, the first time, I was riding "shot gun" in my friends 2009 PreRunner with rear locker capability and that was maybe the year 2013 when we did that???!!! My second experience through The Slot, my friend has his "new" 2nd Gen (don't know the exact year, but 2010+...) 4wd and I'm in my little rinky dink 1st Gen 4wd on June 25, 2016 while doing an ALL NIGHT run with my friend leading the way. Again, just know that he was able to do it in 2wd so I don't see WHY there would be any problem???!!! I hope and pray that there IS NONE, of course?! Just read my above post on how to tackle The Slot... from my own experiences!!! I did my best to make it as accurate description as possible!!! So, with that said, again, have fun and be safe out there!!!:fistbump::cheers:

    NOTE:
Regarding Diablo Drop Off, I do NOT know if THAT is 2wd doable???:confused: I just remembered that we had done that June 25, 2016 the same night we did The Slot. Hence, we had 4wd vehicles!!! So, I honestly do NOT know if Diablo Drop Off is 2wd capable??? I THINK it MIGHT be doable, just make sure that the persons rig has rear locker capability, because the sand is pretty damn SOFT in some spots... for sure!!! At least it was the night that we did that run!!! Just to let you know!!!

Ohhhh, sorry about that man!!! I thought you were there.

Btw, are you mad at me??? I NEVER said, "way in over... heads"??? That was someone else that said that. Like I just stated, just letting you guys know "my" personal experiences.
