This one was more steep and had a turn. I ended up just like this, but my swingout hit the tree. I have to wait for @xmods for the video of me, but it took me quite a while and even guys pushing my truck back and forth while I spun tires to start moving forward. Luckily, I didn't need to be winched up.

Typically pics dont do obstacles justice. But in these I can see how gnar they are. That chunky sticky mud is rough on tires. I know my ATIIs wouldn't do well there. Id run ST Pros if i was there.

That video of the hill climb was gnarly. I was waiting for it to slide back and hit a tree and was glad it didn't.

Eventually, yes. It would be nice knowing that I could get myself out if I ever needed to.

i bought the smittybilt x20. Was in my budget. i messed up a little though. i should've bought the one with steel cable and use the money saved for a different brand synthetic winch line. the master pull and bubba rope ones look cool but with all the mall crawling and curb crushing, i probably won't even make use of the one that comes with the smittybilt. lol.

Holy WOT fun!! Even a supercharger wouldn't have helped give you enough juice on that slippery slope. How much did you air down?

Curious if Icon UCA's have better clearance than the All-Pro's. Just installed 295/75r16 on my TRD wheels and hits the UCA's at full lock pretty hard.

Possibly, because I barely rubbed my uca's with 315's.

I'm sure it does help. I did all my hill climbs in 1st. If I had a SC, I would chance it in 2nd gear. I didn't want to try it in 2nd and bog down and slide back down the hills into a tree or something.

That's frustrating. I ordered 1 inch spacers but hopefully I can bump down to .75 with no rubbing.

I would go with the .75" spacers. I didn't rub anything with 315's with them. The further out you go, brings your tire closer to the cab mount and firewall.

Were you in hi or low? I know what you mean, though. It's a trade off between power/ response and wheel speed.
I was in 4lo with the auto in 2nd for them all except come-along hill. After seeing you and Ron, I aired down more and hit it in 3rd. Even left the tailgate down for more power! :der:
I know the manual has different gearing, plus you have those huge tires, but I think you could have hit it in second. The only way you'd bog down is if you got traction. If the revs dropped you could just clutch kick it back into the power band.
I'm really impressed at how much of a difference your new mods made. Worth every penny!

I was in 4lo. I will try and hit those climbs in 2nd next time. I just didn't want to have to shift while climbing the hills because in between shifts, I would start sliding back down. I guess I'll just start off in 2nd and just clutch it and pound it.
I was impressed you and Ron made all the climbs with open fronts. And you made them with Duratrax's!! My truck would have been totalled if I didn't have the front locked. I couldn't even make it up the small hill last time without it.

I think you could, hopefully second is the sweet spot.
As much as I hate having all terrains, I guess I should be impressed with them. Everyone's running Super swamper Iroks, Boggers, LTBs, mud terrains, and here I am going last with Durtracs, haha. Need to do the paid off mod, the house with garage mod, then I'll get a second set like you!
