Anyone here a dealer for Leer or have any insight on their products? Interested in the new trilogy x2t that came out and am wondering if they'll be making it for the turd gen.

I'm interested in this as well. I do think they make them for the 3rd gen though (just not available on the website for some reason). I called my local leer dealer and they said it was available for the 2016+ Tacoma.

Let me know what you think after you get it. Was originally planning on getting the original leer triology but this new x2t looks nice. It's so new though so no reviews yet.

wow. a shit giver.... I wanted the original trilogy too but wanted to be able to vertically stow it against the window to expose the entire bed if need be. The X2t lets you do that plus is supposed to be much more water resistant along with other things. Price difference was only about 150 bucks.

I have it on my Pro. Quality is good (not US made though), has pinch release rather than the pull cable for all panels. Uses the existing rail (can't use factory tie downs with it) and no need for drainage tubes. Two battery powered LEDs installed on the last panel. Easy to completely remove and reinstall. There are also several different seals to keep water out.

On initial install it's a little pain to get the striker plates positioned just right so that the panels lock in place.

How has it been in the rain so far? Pretty water proof?

Can you take a picture of it up in the vertical position against the window? How are you liking it? What was the price - if you don't mind.

I only had it a few days and can't speak to how it holds up in the rain, keep the truck under a canopy. I'm noticing the latches are a little finiky in colder temps, need a little stronger push to lock in. I paid $850 plus installation at a local authorized Leer dealer.

The passenger side edge by the tailgate sits slightly higher than the driver side. Not very noticeable, but I notice and it somewhat annoys me. Might have to adjust it.

I've got the normal Trilogy and am happy with it. Easy to put on, easy to take off, doesn't let much water in during a rainstorm. Works for me.

I was looking at the regular trilogy but I like the vertical storage of the x2t.

After a week of ownership, I would buy it again. My opinion might change after time. So far overall quality is good. Only thing I'm disappoint with is that it's not made in the USA; I was under the impression that all Leer products are (based on their website info).

Thanks for the pictures and the mini review. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this soon. Had my heart set on the original trilogy but I like how this one folds all the way up and they seem to have improved the weather proofing.

Looks like the new Trilogy X2 has rails instead of just clamping down on top of the bed rails.

I was told that it will be presented at Sema next week with more info. May wait until then to order but I'm close to pulling the trigger.

Maybe stupid question but with rails do you have to screw it into the box rails?

No the mounting hardware fits in the track on the sides of the bed.

Great. I'm in the market for a tonneau cover. The Toyota one in Canada is about $1500 cdn if not maybe more. I would be concerned about permanently installing one and having it last and that's why I asked about the install.
