my truck got hit a few weeks ago so i am replacing some cosmetics, thats the reason why it is all apart but yes it is a 5 lug 2.7l, also i know i will probably need to add some HP for low end rpms due to the added weight of new tires to fill out the gap in the fender so ill def be needing more help when i get to that but heres a pic of the current look of my truck

Not too many significant power upgrades unless you're spending huge $$$$ for a supercharger - think new gears to keep up with bigger tires :)

I've had the LCE header for 6 months or so now. Do some research and I think you'll find the header is the best bang for the buck. In doing so, I think you'll also find that intakes and exhausts won't give you much except for cool noises.

Putting the $ for headers, intake, and exhaust into gears and maybe a locker after buying bigger tires is the only way to get more significant mechanical advantage at the wheels. @jibski hit the nail on the head. Increasing the efficiency of airflow to and from the engine only makes it sound different until you attach some form of forced air (turbo or super ch.) then those components can start to make more significant differences in performance. Check out "Mighty Car Mods - Cold Air Intake Mythbusted" on YouTube for a really good reveal of how CAI's don't give any real hp gains on a dyno if you're interested in that stuff. Those guys are pretty fun to watch too.

I'm looking forward to seeing how your truck comes out - won't hate if you do decide to bolt on some noise makers because good noises... sound good. Just buy quality shat from reputable companies if the parts hook up to your major components of your truck. I got some headlights on eBay and while they look good to me, they don't fit that great and they scatter light in pretty unwanted directions to some extent. I can live with it, but you may want to consider OEM if you live in a place without much street lighting. :)

East Coast Gear Supply FTW. They have a great reputation here. They'll mail you a whole assembled third member and then you mail your old one back for a refund or sell it to someone else if you can make more that way.

What lift / tires are you thinking about getting? Gears won't really be useful until you get some new rubber.

@Dalandser well im looking at doing a 2.5-3" lift and id like to space the wheels out maybe 2" to widen, so i basically still need to figure out how big i can go, but i would love to use the biggest i can which i think would be 33" tires
