I change my mind too often. And I also wanted the ability to remove for repairs/painting. And it was harder to design/fabricate. I never do anything the easy way. But I am really glad I did not ons. I am already on version 2. And I am thinking of adding small kick up winds to the back of them now.

 

If I had the cash I'd go for a good bolt on setup. It's worth it for the easy of refinishing, which needs to happen with sliders more than any other piece of armor.

Only reason I went weld on is cause I'm cheap. Like cut them off another truck in CT in the dead of winter for $100 cheap.

 

How about you let me decide who I do or do not agree with kiddo?

Oh, this never occurred to me. My only thoughts were with price and theoretical strength. Put repainting and changing your mind into the mix, and it doesn't seem so obvious of a decision.

Sometimes that happens from the crankcase breather. Could be too much oil, or worn out rings causing blow by to pressurize the crankcase, or just residual oil. Do a quick compression test or leak down test if your worried and check the oil level

 

We took a bone stock 4 runner on greens at the Takeover. He made it through, but beat the shit out of thr bottom of his truck.

I wouldn't suggest it with out either a lift, or skids. Unless you don't mind dragging your truck over stuff.

 

Honestly depends on which greens. A few of the ones I have been on shod be upgraded to blues.

 

On a side note, looks like lockers will be delayed. That supercharger 20% grouo buy is still tempting me.

That tempted me too, but spend the vast majority of 80k miles under 2500 rpm. I'll regear first.

Such a sick design. Two thumbs up to you my friend. One day I'll learn to weld as good as you. Lol I just have to have time to open the box and take the new welder out.

 

I like my bed rack but the reason I haven't put any rotopax or anything else on it people love stealing shit in my town. I like the look of ever hooked up on the rack. Just not worth it getting it all stolen

 

Just takes practice. Lots of practice. Best idea is to practice on scrap steel. And watch you tube. I learned quite a few good tricks that way.
