    Good morning gang, thank you.
Still a holdup with closing escrow on our moms place. The buyers are going thru the VA. Seems one paper gets signed and a new closing date, then the Realtor calls and says something else is needed. My S-I-L is going to get on his case today.

They didn't say how much our Medicare premiums are going up. Willing to bet we will have a net loss.

Either a net loss or a wash! I'd be more willing to bet on the net loss also!
Well, there just went my extra Wopper Jr. with cheese, I can't afford those expensive "happy meals" like Ken!

By law, the government can't increase your Part B cost by more than the cost of living increase if I remember correctly. So, it will probably end up being a wash. Of course, that means you suck up the rest of the increases in the cost everything.

I believe you are correct on that Mark, I just read that recently while looking for something else, but my supplement part A will increase more than the raise will cover. :( Definitely a net loss when you suck up the cost of everything else.
I don't know how some people can make it if SS is their only source of income, but from everything I ever read it is supposed to be a supplement to retirement income, not the main source. That doesn't work so well if you're lower income to begin with, and don't have a pension plan, guess then it's work till you drop!

Thank God I have a defined benefit plan retirement along with a 401k and some savings or retirement would not be as much fun.

    Definitely a plus Gary!

Was looking at something earlier, sort of brought about by the debates!
Now, this comes under the category of simple things for the simple mind! :D:p
I looked up the definition of a liar, and was surprised to find 5 categories of liars!
There are sociopathic, pathological, compulsive, chronic, and habitual liars, why do they have to make it so complicated and not just call them liars!
Must be a lot of liars out there to have them categorized, and I think I may have found a nest of them all at one place! :D:D:D :laughing:

Hi Carl, 5 categories for liars:eek:. They can cover all five under one word..."politician". Not to get into a rant, but the USA is in real deep doodoo with the candidates we have running for the job of POTUS.

Certainly, if we stay on the current path. Which means Hillary is OUT. Must NOT become President. Trump? I'll give him a shot. The alternative is too hideous to contemplate.

Now, now, we can't get political, the mods. frown on that!
But I will say the nest of them that I found is in the big white house down the road! ;)
Now, there are a lot of big white houses in the US, but they seem to congregate at only one!
There is a big tree in the yard also, with a lot of branches that are getting out of control, maybe time to do a little :sawzall:! :)

Oh well .... guess I srewed up the previous post. What I intended to say was if you're concerned about the mods when using the term LIARS, try PREVARICATORS. That will force them to get some education.

    Back again:
    MIKE, where's Mike!
Was just on Walleye Central, and a guy was posting about his 2011 Tundra rusting out in the bed. He said there was a service bulletin issued on this, and that the dealer did all the work on it, but no one never mentioned to him about the rusting out area. Now that it's bad and out of warranty, the dealer and Toyota customer service say he's SOL, and they won't repair it under the service bulletin because it's out of warranty??????????
Don't make sense to me, they installed my headlights under a service bulletin that I received after being 4 yrs. out of warranty.
Are they putting it to him, have any thoughts or recommendations for him, or is he SOL.

This is going to date me but I don' t care. High school history teacher in 1962 said some day we would have the best politicians money could buy.
    What do you think ?
