Yeah you would have loved that beach station around 31 area. Beautiful, quiet and easy to get off base.

I worked the rig at the clinic at Edson range for a while, the barracks has a ocean view.

 

Ain't that some bullshit. Fuckin millennials man. So I'm going to school while working, had a good setup with the guy I work with that I come in about 2-3 hours late, and I get him back whenever he wants or whenever available next (IE He comes in late or I come in early). So I'm working OT today, and told the new kid about school tonight..like 2 weeks ago when we got the schedule. I'd done it before with him with a couple issues here and there, but whatever, he says he's fine with it. Reminded him again last week, he was fine with it, but wanted to know when I'd get him back and I said "we're on different shifts, but at some point one of us will be taking over the next shift for each other, so I'll get you back whenever that is" he said OK. I texted him 15 minutes ago to remind him I'm coming in late....douchebag want's to start talking about "well, how late? When will you be getting me back" I said next week when he takes the shift from me, he can come in at like 8 or whatever, "So I don't get to choose when" I'm like...dude...I told you about this 2 weeks ago, and we discussed our different shifts and you had no issue, now you wanna fucking argue about it 3 hours before I'm supposed to come in. I told him "Fuck it, don't worry about it, I'll skip this class for you, since it's like that, and the guy next week I'm working with is chill AF and won't have any issues" then he rambled on about some shit but IDGAF. Like...if he'd brought it up last week, I'd have sat down with the schedule with him and worked it out, and I distinctly recall commenting that we were on opposite shifts so me getting him back wouldn't be immediate or exactly when he might want and he just shrugged and said Ok.

Mother fucker I'll remember this shit next time you're an hour late and I call to see where you are and I WAKE YOU UP, and I don't put in for fuckin OT (3 times already now) or you wanna sit and vent about my boss hurting your feelings for an hour.

 

Yeah I forgot the callsign for it, but I heard the billet was hard AF to get, and it just happened to be open when I was sitting next to a detailer. But also heard its awesome, except for having to deploy with Marines...and then man a gun station in enemy territory and hope no one attacks. :shrug: Would have been fun though

Yeah I think so. When I got my TWIC card there was mention of Coast guard something on our piers. All covered under DHS

question for any of you Dublin National Guard guys..... who the hell can i call during the week to get a transfer to B co?! they're still trying to get me to drive to visalia for this shit lol. called visalia and they said its too easy to transfer as long as there is a spot. i can do 11B or 11C.. i just need to get transferred ASAP. gotta report by the 30th. dude from visalia said they have an APFT this weekend. not trying to drive all that way for a stupid ass APFT and drive back haha

 

About a month ago I applied for a job I thought I was grossly under qualified for, asking for pay that I thought they'd get a chuckle out of. Turns out, I have an interview on Wednesday. Now hopefully I can seal the deal.
