I have the Qi wireless charging on my truck that I don't use. I also need another switch for a light bar and am out of places to put one. Has anybody tried re-purposing the factory switch for something else? I am using a relay, but will the factory switch work for this?
    Thanks!

@thechad74 Did you end up trying this out? Trying to find the same information, I'm getting a new phone that doesn't have Qi and I'm thinking about reusing that switch.

If you have a 2016 the spot where 2017 power rear window would be a great spot.

Theres some switches that can be used to fill that gap on the dash to the left of the wheel.

How many extra switches do you have? There's tons of places for switches.

I never did try it since I didn't hear if it would work or not. I just don't know all that much about electrical. I ended up using some of the spots to the left of the wheel instead. I'm still interested to know if it would work or not though!

Assuming you use a relay the switch should work. Or you could always just replace it with a new switch that will fit into the same spot.

I'm planning on popping out the Qi switch and just installing a different switch. No interest in the wireless charger.
