The only thing more sad and sorrowful than the owners here with actual problems are the owners who have to make themselves feel better by making constant "look at them" posts and say how much shittier life would be with a Ridgeline or GM twin.

I test drove a few Chevy Colorados and a GMC Canyon before pulling the trigger and buying a Tacoma. The interiors in both felt a little cheap. A close friend of the wife has had nothing but trouble with the engine in her Canyon. A few locals have had transmission issues with their Colorados.

I looked at larger trucks, but wanted something mid size. I came dangerously close to purchasing a Chevy Silverado before I looked closely at them. My younger brother had issues with excessive oil consumption in his Chevy Silverado. It was so bad, the dealership gave him a new truck.

I am not too impressed with the quality control of GM.

Geez now we're complaining about the GM twins. Thank gawd, we're not talking about the presidential choices. Haha
    This forum is so weird.
Maybe I should start a post on the Ecoboost carbon issues. Ha!

It also sheds light that all the other forums are the same. I mean it's the same conversation in that thread we get here of people saying the forums are where people go to find answers and not indicative of the whole as far as problems go. Someone else posts they are afraid to buy one because of the problems they read etc.

I mean I'd still go with a tacoma but it seems like all of the trucks have issues and all truck forums have issues too.

That applies to any purchasable item for which there's an enthusiast forum.
