Now that my BSM has finally been fixed, I am using it all the time..Today was the first time the CTA gave me a few beeps as I backed out of a parking space... Good stuff..!!

I had the radio on and could barely hear it (I'm a little deaf)... Does anyone know if there is a way to turn up the volume on that thing?? Otherwise it will not be much good to me...

Thanx guys/gals... I have searched thru the head unit settings and cannot find anything...

I may have to put in a different "beeper" or something..?

I'm pretty sure there is a volume control under the settings on the radio somewhere. I remember changing the loudness of some type of warning beeps that way. Check your manual

From home screen tap the gear at top right k enter settings-tab over to next screen-vehicle-toyota park assist settings-alert volume.

Let me know :) I don't have a "park assist" either but I do have bsm, cta, and rear sensors so I think that's what it refers to. Good luck!

Mine quit working at the first sign of snow last fall..Dec. I did not think it was a very important thing to worry about and waited till Toyota had some other failures to repair and figured it out... My BSM failed...left mirror light would blink on and off, and I did not even turn it on.... Then later I tried to turn it on and there was NO power to it... Took the dealer 2 visits to diagnose.... the left rear sensor AND a piece of wiring harness back there somewhere...

    Working now..!

I thought if you had BSM it automatically came with park assist? No circle sensors in the bumper or "P" button under the radio

Hmmm, I thought it was all part of the "premium tech package". I have a bsm button and a parking sonar button.

No, we Canucks don't get the parking assist because we have lots of room to park, I think. No I have the BSM and that includes the Cross Traffic Alert system...same sensors.... no thingy's facing rearward in the bumper..!!

Maybe it's part of that PREMIUM pkg. that upgrades the radio... I don't have that... there are so many diff. option between countries...

Do you need to know, or care?
I have parking assist, but it only comes on the Limited in Canada. It is a handy device. Same with JBL, only on Limited.
