I'll be in universal that weekend. The only weekend I could is 19 Nov.

Getting ready for a trip to Arkansas, elk hunt and canoeing, plus primitive camping for a week on the river. Should be some awesome off roading as well, as we ford the river twice getting to the camp spot, 4x4 only per my cousin.



Will be waking to this every morning, my cousin and his wife are there right now, scouting for elk this weekend.

 

Ouachita River? When I was in high school, my dad, my brother, me, and my uncle all canoed from Camden, AR to Monroe, LA over a 2 week period. It was a great time and the scenery along the river is amazing.

 

Na, the Buffalo River, cousin's wife got a elk tag in the lottery drawing there, so we'll spend a week on the river camping. We'll off road back roads to get there, then hunt for an elk all week. Fishing, canoeing, off roading, and possibly help get an elk out of there, I think it's going to be a good trip. That trip you took had to be fun, 2 weeks, damn.

 

It was a blast. Got sick of eating fish every night, but it was awesome.

 

I hear ya, 2 weeks of fish ain't easy. Growing up, the family would go to Oklahoma and camp for 2 weeks on a big lake, to spend time with Mom's parents and sisters, plus all the kids. Ate fish every day, as that's what all the men did during the day, sometimes we kids would out fish the older ones. Even learned to water ski there, plus a few other things better said somewhere else. And we did that with real outhouses, and no electricity, in a campground. Some of my fondest memories growing up I tell ya, to this day my favorite aromas are bacon and coffee in the morning.
