I just dipped my grill but screwed up on a corner.

Any tips on how to touch it up without it clumping up in that corner.

    Thanks

You can use a little bit of WD-40 on it gently rub the area smoother where you need to spray, then touch it up.
Check this out to get an idea https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4T0jEvxxTzE

Otherwise just peel it and start over, its much easier to peel the fresher it is and its only $6 a can.

What i would personally do is start over, its not worth saving the money that's just my opinion.

7 coats!! woah, i always do 1 light and two medium coats, total of 3 coats and it hold very well. I did it on my old 06 wheels with 3 coats and i haven't had any holding issue for 4 years all season long.

I have some of the original plasti dip in a QT can. It's about 30 yrs old... I've used it for dipping tool handles, etc... It's getting kind of old and thick, but adding some Coleman Fuel (white gas) to the can and shake.. It works great..
Thins it out great, so I bet it would work for a repair like in the video..
    Don't smoke while using it..

Dipped my flares and front chin, left them on the truck, messed up my driver side bedside Flare, gonna peel it and redo it but otherwise it came out perfect. Used 5 cans 6 coats each.

Thanks man, about 2 inches in the front and 1.5 in the rear. I figured I was chipping mine up wheeling, why not Plasti dip for protection and trd pro looks. Next is
    Hood vinyl, then Bhlm.

Yeah lol don't put your money in them :rimshot:

But joking aside, they are random number generators, with very small numbers to win. No special way to beat them, just good timing.

Good luck on your headlight mod. From what I've read it's a real ball buster of a mod. Does look great tho!

How is the grill holding up since your application?
did you coat with Clear after?
when you say matte black, does that mean you purchased matte black. i find gloss black still appears matte in many cases.

    looks great BTW

how is the bed spray holding up, i am considering the same for mine instead of pdip. seems like it would stay on better with less peeling.

It held up really well. I had a couple of rock chips that showed the chrome but they were very small.
I got the pro grille and had the letters painted white.IMG_4474.jpg
