The number of likes your posts get directly correlates to your level of acceptance.

Cmon bro that's Internet forums 101, everybody knows that!

Post count and likes are also the gold standard for ruling on disputes.
If no one likes your posts, you're obviously not bringing anything of substance to the table, and therefore you and your argument are deemed not credible.

Your wrong. It varies for manufacturer to manufacture. Brakes and bulbs are usually covered for 1 year 12k. Belts are covered, windshields are covered of there is no evidence of an impact, or chip. We've replaced a few under warranty. Tires are usually warrantied through certain tire shops and not the dealer. Again this is different with different manufactures but most cover certain things like bulbs and brakes for 1 year and so many miles. Obviously if you go into the dealer and all 4 brake pads are at 3mm they won't warranty them if it's normal use. However if rotors or drums are warped, or a pad is worn because a caliper is sticking that's all covered. There are different scenarios but to say they aren't covered isn't entirely true. If the wear is normal and not caused from another issue, failure or defect then they will be covered

My statement said that wear and tear items are not covered under the 3 year 36000 mile warranty. In my later post I mentioned such a GM wear and tear items are covered up until the first maintenance service (7500 miles or 12 months on battery)

I agree 100% with your statement that if you are at 3mm on all 4 pads and say at 15000 miles after 1 year, its not going to be covered because it falls under the "wear and tear" items. His statement suggested that since its below the 3/36k that even though they are wear and tear items, they should still or are covered under warranty which is not the case.

It was just that your statement made it seem that because an item is a wear and tear item, that it basically is excluded from any warranty what so ever. That would be false. You have to remember there are member who haven't a clue and that's why they turn here for advice. I feel they would take that as those items are completely not covered. Just don't want to give any misleading info for someone who could use it of dorm thing happened to their truck and they had a dealer who wanted to fight with them (which does happen)

If he or they could find an issue or some type of defect that could of caused that blowout then it could be covered. Could be buldges on the sidewall that you can't see in the pic. Obviously most blow outs are from damage or wear. The way it tore looks like a blowout not a slice. Just unsure the cause of it. May be easier to tell in person. More than likely they won't cover it but it's worth a shot if he didn't hit anything and it just blew while driving down the thruway

Fair enough. I was more adding clarification to the statement so someone isn't under the impression that its covered under 3/36k no matter what. I thought this was all commonsense stuff, like gas isn't covered under 3/36k and its considered a wear and tear item. *shrug*
