I couldn't live in Michigan then - this is my favorite beer.

The best ones come from the brewery in PA. I hate to say it, but the water from the mountains there is just better, and makes all the difference in the flavor of the beer. Walk into a pub, order a lager, and they bring you a nice cold Yuengling. One of the very few things I miss about living up there.

We're headed up to Traverse City later to visit the in-laws. I hate that drive. I really friggin' hate that drive. But it's really pretty up there. Almost makes the drive worth it.

Is there really a noticeable difference?

Haha yeah my neighborhood is the same way lol. I mainly bought it for Ocean Lakes. Plus I got it for a steal lol only paid 700 bucks for it from work cause they bought new ones. I figure I could do a 6" lift kit $350 and wheels and all terrains for $650 and still only have $1700 in it. Heck lifted carts are going for 4K right now lol. I may even sell it and buy TRUCK STUFFS:D

Yes, there really is. The Yuengling is much more crisp when from the Pottsville brewery. What you get here in SC is from a brewery in FL, IIRC, so the water is quite a bit different. The sulfur water in FL just doesn't do whatever the recipe is justice.

That is a great tour. :) I was working in Chesterbrook, PA at the time and kinda sorta mighta made a trip over there to take the tour. :anonymous: It was a bit of a drive and didn't get back before end of the workday, but since my employer was in the UK at the time.... No harm, no foul.

Its the basic brewery tour but it has an amazing history behind it. You get i think 2 or 3 free beers at the end of it. The history though... That was the best part

If you are up that way, no reason not to! I did the one where I just waited for the next tour. They talked about how they're the oldest American brewery and such, give you some sample. It was free when I went. Free tour + free tasting = win!

If you like beer and you happen to be in the "upper" arm pit of Pennsylvania, yup good stuff.

Also, one of the last real American beers not owned by a German beer co and not an up and coming craft beer.
