Overall I think the touchscreen stereo is pretty nice, but one thing really irks me.
I have 20 gigs of music on a flash drive hooked up to it. My problem is the way stereo organizes the files. You can only do Artist, Album, Composer or Genre I think. It ends up taking certain songs out of the album folder and putting them in other locations depending on the way they are tagged I guess.

So lets say there are 10 songs on an album, 9 will be in the right folder under the band name, and 1 will get moved to some other folder under the guitarists name.

On the flash drive I have all the music in folders for each band, and then subfolders for each album.

Is there a way to configure the stereo to display the music by folder/file? Maybe some other music app I can add to system?

Browsing my ID3 tag is pretty standard behaviour. Manual control (folder structure) is nice, but few (if any) devices still offer that option. Sooner or later you'll have to go through your library and re-tag things properly. There are tools that can create ID3 tags from patterns in filenames or other sources of data.

thanks, not what i wanted to hear though haha.. my other cars just organize by folder structure.
Ill see if I can find a program to autotag my collection.
Other option would be putting in an alpine deck or something. Ill never use the navi, handsfree or apps.
