I put my winters on before delivery Jan 1st 2016, and went straight to the trails haha. It's fun to track up steep hills while guys struggle to keep momentum with their Ko2's.

What winters you going with? I wanted studded, but city friendly so I went Hankook Ipikes. The Hakkas have far too many studs for the city.

ya kinda sucks for me. I'm in toronto and plates and everything are registered in toronto, but i go wheeling about 3 hours north of the city where studded are ok.
But since they aren't here in the city I cant have them
Likely going with the Toyo observe. I've heard good things.

Since I'm keeping my jetta as well and still driving it until delivery I usually throw snows on as soon as it starts getting colder than 10 degree.
Since I have michelin pilot super sports lol. I have michelin X ice on my car.

The Toyo Gsi5's are great ice tires, very soft like the Blizzaks.

Michelin Latitude xice2's are great for longevity and city driving, but don't perform as well.

I've always wanted Toyo Observes but they are bloody expensive. So I studded this time around. 600$ tires with 30$ in studs haha. The Toyos were like 1000$.

I didn't even bother going to Kingsway Toyota with the last 2 Toyotas that I bought.

I bought my dclb TRD sport on October 10. The dealer already had it allocated to arrive on October 28. Built in Texas and the day I bought it the delivery system status said on rail to Toronto. I live in Winnipeg.

Sometimes you get lucky. Mine was already on rail but not allocated, so 2 week wait for me. But if there is a high demand and no inventory, then wait can be much longer. Especially considering models are produced in batches.

I wanted magnetic grey but it wasn't available until January or February.

I hope I like the inferno. They had one that was sold that I looked at. Wife is happy Amit the color I'm still on the fence but it will grow on me.

Im just gonna run the factories for now. If I'm not happy, I'll check into winters. I'd prefer an all weather tire, everything is a compromise anyway. Maybe the Cooper A/TW. I see crappy tire has them on sale, plus a rebate too.

I like Inferno, MGM runs in the family and had it on my last model, so didn't stray from what I had or family favorite. Like BBP too, Not so much on the silver. :anonymous:

Thing about Inferno is I don't see a lot of them around here. So if you want something unique, at least around here, it's the right choice.

Can you guys confirm we get mudflaps? I'll be getting a MGM Sport, DCSB Manual delivery in December. Just planning my accessory purchases, so far just husky liners, side steps (tbd which ones) and maybe an LED light bar under the grill.

    get sliders instead.
They're roughly the same price, will work as a step and help protect rocker panels and doors from assholes that throw their doors open and ding others.

    https://tacomatownonline.com/
has them and they're based in alberta. RCI sliders are like $1000CND with the top plate powder coated .

Not going to wheel this much other than heading down coullee's to get firewood. I'd rather not spend more than $450 either, thinking Westin or Lund SS side steps. Just want to protect door dings and help the wife/kid get into the truck easier.

New Canadian member here from London. Picking up a 2017 DCSB Off Road in Quicksand on Monday. Trying to decide on whether I want winter tires on steelies (retired - so realistically I can stay home in a snow storm, or drive my Subaru Forester with Michelin X-Ice 3's). Also looking into what tonneau cover I want. Had an Undercover Flex on an F150 before. It was OK, but not impressed by how it was put together with tiny screws in thin aluminum. Thinking of a Bak Revolver X2 roll up. I like that it does not block the rear window when fully rolled up, and does seem to provide a bit more security than a trifold. Just concerned whether it will freeze up way worse than a trifold in the winter.

yes all CDN models come with mud flaps from what I've seen

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I think its actually a the law from ministry of transportation ontario, all trucks must have mud flaps if the bumper does not protect enough.
Not 100% sure so don't quote me on it.

But I do know we get mud flaps. We get a lot more standard on the tacos than the US models get. But we don't get as many options as they have.
