Had my A/C compressor seize on my way home from a nightshift. Limped home and did some research, repairs are out of my budget for a few weeks so I found cheap solution. A re-routed 74" long serpentine belt can be used to bypass the A/C compressor. Figured i would post because I could not find any info on an A/C delete for these 2.7's. I used a Dayco poly rib part # 5060740. This is only a 6 rib belt and truck has 7 rib pulleys, have gone several hundred miles no issue. Will post anything that comes up, cheers! Pic for attention

All you need to do to bypass the Compressor is remove the " MG CLT Relay " This will ensure the magnetic clutch doesn't energize.

That said it sounds like you did a good job of bypassing it on your own. You get 10 Macgyver points.

My magnetic clutch is seized as well. The pulley is an immovable object for the time being. I am thinking catastrophic bearing failure. Thanks for the reply

Well that is truely odd. I've never seen the clutch seize.

Dayco Belt 5070735 is a direct replacement 7 rib belt intended to bypass the a/c unit. I installed it in my 06; works great! Original belt had 228k on it; still had life but my a/c failed... $22 fix.
