Cruising thru my Local Toyota dealer today I snapped a couple of pics of the two reds, A side by side. I had seen a 09 Sport that looked sweet so I took a pic of that too. One of the salesmen stopped me to do give me the sales pitch (I was in my Del Sol) & I told him about TW, how I already had a tacoma, blah blah blah. He looked at me kinda funny....

Oh well, so we talked some more about the changes in the 09s & I had to laugh when he said the buyers know more more ... yeah we are an enthusiatic bunch!

Gotta say, the new Barcelona is a hot color, I absolutely loved the 09 Sport thats why I took a pic of it. It looks close to my Impulse Red but & even had to check the sticker to make sure.

I noticed the new painted grill insert, Not knocking anybody's new 09 at all, but why did Toyota decide to do this?

Lastly, a pic of the sad boneyard of tacomas waiting for the crusher, this is the 3rd time I've seen the field filled...with more waiting for an inspection. Can't imagine this at every dealer in the Northeast, upper Midwest, Canada, holy crappola.

Smoke headlights, improved LED tail lights...Pending: De-chrome badges and grille, new tires
I have an 06 Radiant Red, but I like the Barcelona better. My grill insert is black and I also like that better. I wish the whole thing was black. I am anti-chrome.

    Great pics.

Good pictures. I did the same today but no camera. There was a 09 Access cab TRD Off Road, 4X4, loaded with even the rear camera and sub woofer in barcelona red, along with the 3 leaf rear springs.

Parked next to it was a 08 DC, TRD Sport, 4X4, with all of the options in radiant red.

I think the 09 barcelona wins in color but didn't care for the tail lights, grill, that sub in the middle, the rear seats that fold up to the rear again, instead of forward, and the rear headrests. The 09 had all the traction controls, VSC, DHA, ect. as all the button slots in the dash were full and the security upgrade valet switch was almost under the steering column. I liked the headlights better smoked.

Both of these had the usual dealer make a buck quick add ons like paint sealant, scotch guard, and floor mats and break down towing for only $20K. Just kidding but you know what I mean. Anyway both were around 30K+ with that kind of dealer markup.

I was on a bike and the salesman rode so he let me look over the 09 pretty good. I'm more than happy with my 08 as it is now, especially with the TSB leafs.

I looked at a few '09s yesterday. One was a fully loaded Access Cab TRD Off Road 4x4, sticker price was $35,000 .

    Saw a Reg Cab. White, I4, 4x4, 5 speed, SR5. Sticker price of $25,999. :eek::eek:

^That's just nuts. I paid $23K for mine.

I definitely like the Barcelona Red but that's to be expected since IRP looks a lot like it.

What's the deal with the last pic? I assume those are buy back frame rust Tacoma's?

Great pics. I was on a dealer lot this morning looking at an 09 TRD. One other slight difference is the tow hook on the right side is once again a tow hook, not that silly loop of steel. I noticed it was only on TRD not SR5. Think I'll change mine anyhow. The bolt pattern matches my 07.

Yeah, those are the buy backs, I have seen this field full on two different occasions, rows & rows of em. The craiglist ads locally have tons of take off parts too. Shells are a dime a dozen. Here's another angle I had

Where in VT is this dealership (White River?) most dealers in SW NH don't have many 09s on the lot, but have plenty of crushers in the boneyard.:D

Heritage, S. Burlington, they do have a place in White River too. I believe there has to be a ton of buybacks in NH, ME, VT, MA & across the upper half of the country. A lot of folks don't know about it still.....

I received my buy back letter from toyota in the mail 2 weeks ago for my 2000 taco, but I had heard about the program from a guy I work with a month earlier, and had my Taco inspected then. My 2000 headed to the bone yard last friday :( now I have a 09 on order.

For 4K difference I'm not missing the side air bags or down hill assist. It also only had the 3 leaf rear springs with the towing package.
