Thanks to @renocl01 I traded my color matched MGM fender flares for the black OR flares. Honestly, there isn't a whole lot of difference. Maybe once I get the truck cleaned up and look at it in the day light I will be more wow'ed

Picked up some mesh grill at Home Depot earlier today. Going to make a custom backing to go behind my stock SR grill. I love the SR grill but the huge holes in it leave much to be desired. There is too much exposed behind the grill, hopefully this will hide some of it. Pictures of the whole process will follow

Yeah every time I hear a pebble get kicked into my truck by a passing car/truck I wonder if it went through the radiator. You have to watch and time not meeting someone where a gravel road intersects with the highway. Damn good place to catch a rock or pebble.

It's partly that and I just think it looks crappy seeing everything so easily behind the grill. It's a pretty tight mesh grill which I'll paint black. Should look good, we'll see how it goes.

I attempted the install of the urd short shifter and failed. The instructions they give are not compatable with the 2016/2017 for those interested

Yeah I hear you. Wish I had the money for one of those aftermarket grills with the small openings in it. If I were more mechanically inclined I would of bought one anyhow. But my main concern would be for pebbles instead of looks.

I like the aftermarket grills but not enough to justify the cost. I like the SR grill a lot. Hopefully the mesh behind it will finish it off nicely.

I'm not going to run a winch..don't you think it would be extra stiff?

Mine is not stiff at all. The 888's were designed for light load. Full bumper or winch/sliders, not both. Since the bumper I'm running is a hybrid and I'm running synthetic line in the winch, I still did not net all that much extra weight. The 888's are perfect for the set up on my truck. I'm running an AAL in the rear. When they had just the lift on my truck installed (before winch/bumper) it was sitting pretty nose high. The added bit of weight brought it down exactly where I wanted it. Keep in mind it won't be an exact science, lots of variables. Double vs Access cab, sliders, other components. All that being said, I did not get a chance to test drive with just the lift since I had the bumper installed same time. Can't really tell you for sure how much stiffer the ride will be but thinking that it can't be that much different.

    Thanks.

OEM caps, 60mm resin stick-on. The "T" emblem is held on with two "fingers", and comes off fairly easily (I did one side at a time, pulling the logo up with a fingernail while gently pressing each "finger" toward the center and out).

So will the 2nd gen 5100s fit the 3rd gen? I thought they were a different part number.

They just released 5100's specific to 3rd gen. Lots of people (myself included) are running the 2nd gen 5100's on 3rd gen trucks without issues. There are some slight changes in valving between them and the preload settings are a bit different. Key thing here is it is not recommended that you preload the 5100's past .85 setting. Some will have a different opinion on this. I'm not sure what your plan is exactly but I'm guessing if you use the 888 coils and no winch/bumper, you would not be preloading them anyway

Then I'm going with the 888s...what do you have in the back? Progressives?

Deaver AAL in the rear for now. A little stiffer than stock but does not bother me at all. If you are looking to buy a lift kit and need more info, Marie at Headstrong Off Road is a great resource. She knows her stuff and will set you up with what you need. I did a lot of research before ordering my set up and she's a wealth of info.

Also, seing your truck is a second gen, not sure if the 888's will work. I think they were made specifically for the third gen. Email Marie, she knows more about this than I do.
