CA has a law to turn on your head lights w/your wipers

ive never heard that law


and dont waste your time.... ive seen cops not use their blinker... who cares

 

We've got that in Connecticut, good law if you ask me.

 

Agreed it is a good law, after the crazy rain this week I am grateful people have their lights on to help visibility.

On a side note, how awesome is driving through huge puddles in a Tacoma!

Same law as here. I reported an officer yesterday for speeding down our road. They are here to set an example not abuse the authority. I respect the law and the difficult job the officers have to enforce it. We have some very young kids in the neighbor hood that have well below par parents and they ride their bikes, scooters, and skate on this road. Which is why I expressed my concern. Honestly I wish this people would move because I would rather not see what is bound to happen.

Maybe in this situation you could have flashed the officer to see they are human also.

 

i cant flash officers, i dont need anothe public indecancy charge naw but about your officer situation, there are plenty of emergencies they take but dont run lights and sirens to, like here any kinda fight or attempted suicide they arent supposed to run 10-18 traffic

Was the rain coming down on a continuous basis?

 

It's not that hard to turn a knob to turn your lights on when it's raining and it's not that hard to move your finger an inch to signal a turn or a lane change.



Safety is safety. Your turn signals are there for a reason and there are laws requiring you to turn your headlights on when it's raining for a reason.

It's kind of hard to miss the rain in the photo.

 

I'm going to figure out a mod that when I hit my wipers,my headlights come on at the same time...................

That is not a safe solution either. Besides the ones most cars are coming with now are Amber the tail light don't come on with them.
When driving in rain it's nice to see the back of cars in torential rain too.
If I had a buck for every moron over the last few days driving a car of a color that just blends into the assphault in a down pour with no lights on while I'm trying to changelanes with a shell on the back and water covered side windows and Mirrors?

 

Oh for sure, I agree. When it's raining or there's snow swirling I toss my rear lights on as well. But a win is a win regardless. Some lights are better than no lights.
