I got frost king self adhesive from lowes, bought 2 rolls and used almost all of it.

seems like it is a pretty popular choice for this application and I am using it for the inside of the doors...

I also got a decent size piece of 1/4'' anti fatigue/fireproof underlay mat (sorry; can't seem to find a link) designed for lab use off of a local contractor on my way into lowes.
he was throwing cutoffs in the dumpster and I happened to be walking by at just the right time to ask about it as it looked perfect. I put about 3/4 of that piece under the carpet...

I had all the seats out and the carpet up and the doors torn apart... love the fact that they just staple the carpet at the edges in these things.

I been wondering why the 3.4 was this slow. Thought it was normal since I never floored a stock 3.4 tacoma. But if your trucks are faster post up some videos would like to see the acceleration videos.

 

Stock headlights? Looks great man gotta love chrisfix and his amazing editing/video skills. I'll be doing this when I get my old stock headlights retrofitted.

 

Well its not a Porsche or BMW, but then again it's faster then both of them when the snow is falling, can't wait for 2 or 3 feet of snow to play in, but it's a lot faster than a 2nd gen 4.0 liter Tacoma and faster than the 2017 3.5 liter pro Tacoma and runs neck and neck with a 2017 pro tundra, that's what I know,
come on snow!!!

Possible upgrade you could get for the future. See if you can buy a fabtech diff drop that comes from the 6" lift kit. Extended King shocks that provides 6" of lift in the front and new leaf pack in the back. Than say buy to that body lift here's a picture of one.

That's true, you could always test that out. Get someone to drive the 4runner on a closed (cough) road. Get a video of that would love to see the results.

Got around to replacing the original exhaust on my 1999 250,000 mile 1st gen...all of the O2 sensors and flange bolts on the cat were pretty much not workable with a tool so I ended up replacing the Y pipe to the tail pipe.... Went with a Bosal Y Pipe and Catalytic Converter, Denzo O2 Sensors and a Borla Catback Exhaust. I pretty much chopped the old system out with the sawzall, cut off wheel and recycled it (sorry no photos) the old muffler I'm suprised even passed emissions. Since I had it up there I also finally got some time to put in my Lowrange Rear axle breather mod, which I ended up stubbing out next to the gas cap.

New Bosal Y Pipe and SS Hardwear.

Bosal Catalytic Converter and new hanger and Intermediate Pipe.

Borla Touring Muffler (should have taken pics on the lift when it was all shinny and new).

Tail pipe to turn down behind axle...I tried the turn down right after the muffler and it was far too loud, couldn't hear my self think but it did sound great! (Yes) it touches the spare I need to get a bracket to pull it over a little bit more.

Turndown just past the axle, with intercooler tip should be enough room to move it off the spare...(hoping to get a Relentless bumper with the tire holder mount for full size spare soon).

New Barbed end for axle breather.

New rubber hose ran to vent up and over the fuel tank and trough the frame.

Breather vent mounted in the fuel hatch (drilled a smaller hole and sandwiched the vent and hose to the plastic housing).

 

So shiny! Nice work.

First part is possibly downhill, second is up a slight incline. The difference in exhaust noise is from all the windows being open in the second.
