So according to tracking, the kit is waiting in my mailbox. Will pick it up tonight after work. Hopefully I can get it installed before the end of the month!

Has anyone tried pulling the EFI MAIN 30amp fuse after this mod? Seems like it would need to re learn air/fuel mixture.

Just disconnect the battery before starting the mod then put it back when you're done.

    Greg,
I installed the kit this weekend, it's really simple.
The only suggestion I have for the installation instructions is to use the holesaw to drill a round hole (unlike the oval hole in photo in the instructions), reinstall the airbox and use the holesaw (not chucked in the drill motor) to precisely locate the center of the hole by hitting it with a hammer. Remove the airbox, center punch the mark and drill the 2 1/2" hole. I was home alone so no photos of the process.
I've only driven it 150 feet from the shop to the house so no driving impressions.
    Thanks,
    Mike

Nah it'll be fine. I had a feeling that someone would find an alternative to that part.

So I have received the kit, and just wanted to comment on how well it was packaged and how nice the parts look and feel. Haven't had time to get it installed yet but that will happen here soon.

Oddly busy for me right now between after hours callouts for work, swapping a clutch in a coworkers 99 4runner, and a Canadian thanksgiving roadtrip. All this leaves me with no time to do my own stuff! Maybe next weekend but can't make any promises there either :(

We just need a little more data from our testing.

Put quite a few miles on my truck since install. Also installed a Mbrp Cat back this week. Picked up at least .2-.3mpg across the board. And .5-1.0mpg under certain conditions. Low end throttle response is improved as well

I doubt my experience will be helpful, I had the transmission shift TSB done a few days after the install. I do think the "seat of the pants" feel is better. I'm curious what the addition of a larger intake tube would do.

Really looking forward to having this installed. I think you mentioned also that the slight throttle-by-wire delay was minimized a bit as well which, having a manual, you notice more than in an auto and I would really like to remedy.

Between the airbox & throttle body. It may not make a difference without a larger diameter throttle body.

You'd be surprised. My car has a 6" filter, 4" pipe and 92mm throttle body.
