Is that written somewhere in the brochure?

My salesman sent me pictures of my truck (picking it up this week) when it arrived and there are none.

Maybe they install them during preparation, but if so, I need to make sure they don't just keep them.

I don't know if mine were dealer install. What model did you get, mine is the Off road. Like was said earlier I thought it was a transportation requirement. Perhaps it's provincial though.

Flaps and things that can be removed by bad people during transit, come in the back seat.... dealer installs them.

I had my transmission filled when it was in for its first service. The transmission was down 3/4 of a litre. Do I have anything to worry about? Will the transmission fail prematurely. Should I phone toyota and complain?

Heres a couple quick pics as requested. Out on the home quarter this weekend.

First tank had 493km on it, and took 59 litres to fill. Calculated 11.97/100, Dash said 12/100. I'd say it's pretty accurate. Truck will be going in some time for the transmission update, and level check. I think it does better in ECT mode.

Loving this little truck so far!!

No problem man..only down 3/4 L like most of us... you are good to go now. get the TSB done. If you were 2-3 L low and had 10,000 on her, then you might have had an issue...
You did not say if you were having tranny issues, so we can assume You are OK..! Sit back and admire your truck and drive the shit outta it..!!

IDK, but out of all the Tacomas I've seen on the road that are 4X4, zero have been without flaps. Older 2WD don't have them because they are lower to the ground. Since 2016 though, they sit at the same height, or at least I believe they do. Maybe an inch or so difference, not sure on that.

Don't worry Greg... the back seat is full of stuff in boxes when it comes off the truck... That's the way mine was... It had floor mats.. summer/winter... mud flaps... tow ball to go on the hitch...tie-downs for the bed...etc...

That's so it don't get stolen .."on the way"..

I stopped by the dealer this afternoon to have a quick look at mine. Dealer is closed so I was only able to peek through the windows of the truck.

No boxes, but a few things in clear plastic bags. I saw the rubber mats, the bed cleats, and possibly mudguards (hard to see, half hidden by the mats).

Looking forward to delivery. Silver Sky is a weird color, it's gorgeous in person, but no pictures do it justice!

Has anyone picked up a 2017 DCSB TRD Sport 6MT recently? If so, did you pay sticker? Thinking of getting rid of my auto.

Ya, I saw mine when ready to pick up. Things done at port and dealer was a mystery to me, but for sure our Canadian models have lots of add-ons that American models don't. Although saying that, our options are limited.

Excited to get mine. Dealer said November 4th, here in Vancouver. I ordered it last week a Double Cab Short box TRD off-road in white.
After a lot of back and forth dealer knocked off $1200 off sticker price. New West Toyota. Felt pretty good about the deal. Anyone got more of a discount?
The close second was Granville Toyota, no doc fee, $500 service credit and extended warranty to 7 years.

Is that with a documentation fee? I won't lie I got a better deal than that but my friend is the sales manager.

For the lower mainland that deal is pretty good.

quite jelly. Regency VW didn't get an allocation for Tacomas for October, so I have to wait til November to even know if they'll get an allocation for my truck....and then I have to wait for the build time. I was told 90 days. Same story for you guys?

I basically called every dealer in the lower mainland asking for the exact model I wanted. Funny to hear different stories from all the dealers.
Some said: "You can't get that truck for months! SO POPULAR Put down a deposit and i'll get one ordered from the factory for you, that's the only way" NEXT
Others: "I can't tell you exactly what all our fees our, that's a different department, come down and we'll work out the details" NEXT
More: "I might be able to get one on a exchange from another dealer!"...never called me back NEXT
When I finally found a few places that had a line on the truck around a month out I started to see who had the best deal and worked their deals against one another, over the phone. Saved a lot of time.
No idea if I got the best deal but I did find it interesting on how different each dealer can be, something that i was ignorant to before.

Yeah the $1500 is with doc fee.

I really lucked out ordering when I did, I ordered late August, had it built on September 6, and received it on September 23. The dealer told me I got one of the first allocations for Western Canada
