The plan right now is tires, OME suspension, shell, bumpers, locker.

Not exactly a replacement for 4x4 but should definitely invest in a winch

Been flirting with the idea of selling and getting a second gen, but part me thinks that I should just do a high quality $4-5k repaint on this, stock color of course.

    +1, paint looks fine.

Put that budget towards wheels and tires IMO. 1st Gen=Best Gen

Nice! How was pushing the slug into the spindle and getting the stock ball joint out?

I'll probably get a winch when I get a front bumper. I'm super green and new to all this so I'm trying to see what I need as I go.

Surprisingly easy. The hardest part was separating the control a from the spindle, nothing worked....we had to cut the bolt off in order to separate them. Luckily I wasn't resting the stock arms, otherwise I don't know what we would've done. I mean we tried everything to separate them too.....they were seized on tight. But it's done, now to the alignment shop this afternoon.

Nice! Interested to see the numbers you get. Maybe my difficulties getting the slug in were a one off case haha

I'll let you know for sure gotta wait until 3pm. I froze the slugs before pressing them in and used the press kit that I rented at O'Reillys.
