    I've practiced in my yard....I can set it up solo in about 30 minutes. The company was awesome...I called and got a ton of tips. The best was the suggestion to put tennis balls (with small holes drilled) on top of the side posts...so the fly can rest right on them without getting torn. Otherwise the fly would require separate poles to create enough space to prevent rubbing & tearing.

    Hoping to use it at least once this season. Haven't hunted nearly as much as I had planned. Helping my father work through some anxiety/depression issues.

    Sounds like an excuse to take him into the woods to hang out in the tent. My dad never hunts when he's with me - he just likes to be there, even though he's a hunter. Out of state tags are expensive too - he lives in Ohio.

    I spent a season as an elk guide "in training" and can tell you from experience that winter is the best time to be in a wall tent with a stove.

    I can set the small tent pictured above up in about 3 minutes. My big tent takes about 10-15 minutes to setup. I'd be happy if I only had to take the big tent once a year now. I'm fine with a small tent.
