My day was spent kayaking with my wife and daughter (home for fall break) we paddled up the Potomac River and into Potomac Creek. Did some fossil hunting and had a nice lunch on the beach

@Tacoma Mike Good Morning Mike, some feed back on my cross member bracket project that connects the transmission cross member to the frame. I tried the part shown in the picture and it didn't line up. I'm at a stand still and was wondering if at your convenience you could find out if this type of part exists for our Trucks. Thanks!

Good morning all. We made it to Woodland yesterday on the trip to get the truck. Had a wicked 2 hour detour delay in Palm Springs then, with typical California traffic, the delays just kept piling up
But we made it past any heavy traffic so today should be smooth (knock on wood).

We had a few wash outs after the monsoon rains on Friday. Only 5 of us showed up. All 5 Tacoma's from TW! Two gen 1's, and three gen 2's. It was a little sloppy early Saturday morning, but the dry weather before the rain and the steep hills let the ground dry to near perfect conditions by lunch time. It was cool and windy, close to 45 degrees all day, but the sun popped out and it was a great day to be out doors. We started at the Putney trail head, went all the way across the park to Evarts Trail head, then the LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG way back to Putney. Over 8 hours on the move. This is year 2 of what I hope to make an annual adventure. We stayed mostly on green trails (class2), with some blue (class3), and a couple short runs on red trails (class 4). I now know my way around the park well enough so that next year we get REALLY adventurous and start concentrating on blue and red trails.

Hope is to take even a few MORE days next year, pull the camper down and set up a base camp, stay on the trails maybe 3 days, and turn this into an epic adventure!

About to hit the road, open the door and it started pouring, 3 lightning flashes and a garbage truck was stopped in front of my driveway. I am now sitting in my recliner, finishing my coffee.
