Body lift w/ suspension lift

Heya! So I've been pondering making my truck higher, it already has a 6" Fabtech suspension lift on it. I was wondering if anyone here has a body lift in conjunction with a suspension lift. Pros and cons of body lifts please? And how exactly do they work?

 

Body lift works like it sounds- You lift the body off the frame with spacers and longer bolts.

They are crap. If you go off road or in an accident the blocks can fracture and make the body shift alot and cause a lot of damage.

 

people have done it. On my 88 toyota i had a 4 inch suspension, and 2 inch body. Looked great, felt fine, no problems. I wouldnt go too high with the body lift tho

 

MY buddy has a body lift, looks nice, and he offroads the living hell outta his rig, hasnt failed him yet.
Id do it if I were you.

 

alot of people dont like it cuz it just lifts the body. Has nothing to do with suspension. And it may be somewhat unsafe. The only benefits are you can run bigger tires, and your higher up

 

I'll call shananigans on it "looks nice". I'm sure he fits plenty of tire under there and rides nice and high- But the gap between body and frame looks like garbage IMHO....

 

ya the gap does look bad. Thats why if i did a body lift, it would be no more then 2 inches. Looks like crap when you can look right thru your truck, haha

 

Haha you can already see straight through mine above the tires at the bed.
