Any other TSB's I don't know about. Had the shift enhancement done, put off the "howl plugs" for awhile. Then moved out to the outskirts of town where the wind blows steady all the time. It started to drive me nuts.

Both fixes were done by the dealer, but they did not want to do them. They fought me on the shift enhancement over a period of three visits until I saw the tsb and gave it to them. They had "no idea how to find it."

Then the howling issue. This time I went prepared with the tsb printed out. It was a calm day at the dealership with no wind blowing. They didn't hear it and wanted to blame my KO2's which are clearly not the issue. They saw my printed tsb and ordered the plugs due to me showing them the paperwork.

So...........if there is anything else, please post them up. I don't see a sticky for tsb's, but if not there should be.

just go to lowes and get some nylon plugs I believe I used the 9/16" size. 3 for each side and I spent I think around $2 and 15sec of your time to pop them in

True, unless there is a rust issue down the road and then it will be my fault. I live in the rust belt.

shouldnt be any issues as you will be leaving the bottom hole empty and any water will drain. they cant blame you as you are doing the exact same thing they are doing for the fix.
for all they know you coulda ordered them yourself from toyota and installed. I think they are around $9 if order from toyota

They can blame you for not having it done by the dealership. Even though it should drain I fear the road salt and grime will gather around the plugs and seep in. Holding it in for a nice corrosion sandwich. My dealership wasn't willing to admit there was a shift problem until I took in the paperwork. There statement, "No one else has complained."
