    See thats my exact mindset,
kentucky gets cold as shit and some vehicles dont like starting up in bad weather, especially if your battery decides to shit on you. at least with a key'd start you can fenness the starter till the truck turns over and starts. ontop of that if i had the key starter i could get rid of the fob because i would go to opening the door with the key's only.

too many break ins where ive been living make me dislike the fob allowing the door to be opened by touch, im not saying its not a cool feature, its just not for me. and ive only got 9k miles on my truck and ive already had to replace the fob battery twice now

If you've had to replace the fob battery twice after only 9000 miles, there's something wrong with your fob.

Or maybe somehow a button's getting held down while in a pocket or something.

000099 will likely be updated to 010182.
Maybe I'll go see what some of the brand new trucks arriving here are running.

The sheets don't always show every possible version, I've seen many that aren't listed that get updated.
Couldn't tell you why they have so many different ones.

Don't keep your key within 10 feet of your parked vehicle, either. They "link" and run the batteries down. Even the truck has ECUs stay live when it can detect the key. Basically, don't hang them in the garage right next to the truck.

Some people do go thru a ton of remote batteries, with no real explanation why.

What a load of confusion. Going from 000095 to 000099 to 010182 on the "Audio System" piece, which then happens to match a prior version number of the "Audio" piece seems moronic.

Yep but its easier to make toyota replace that fob after ive had them "install" a new battery twice and i save the receipt :p

My key fob gets wrapped in tinfoil because my room is right above my truck (blocks the signal so it should be good there)

    I meant 010189. Sorry. Lol
    Too many damn numbers.
Either way, a September build should already have the earlier new version out that corrects the random restarting.

I have a SR5 Access Cab. No push button start. The key has the fob with the 3 buttons built into it.

It's true. The owners manual explains it all.

Even the salesman here go over the operation of the keys to customers.

    Some dealers are slacking.

I suspect I wasn't clear that I was referencing the version number for the SECOND row, the one below your highlights.

My HU is already at 010189 for "Audio", and is at 000099 instead of 000095 for the second line labelled "Audio System".

Yeah I hear you, I would not like that either. My truck is the SR5 with the 3 button fob built on the key. I have a blank key I had made to unlock the door but if the battery is dead in my fob it will not start the truck using the ignition.

Yeah, these radio updates suck. Try dealing with it for 5 different years of 16 models with 5 different types of radio. Then have 18 other techs who can't figure it out ask you to help. It's amazing I can get anything done. Haha

I don't mind the Tacomas.. only Panasonic radios. Lol

Yes, you have a key with integrated remote. Not the SMART key.
The remote only unlocks the door. If the battery goes dead, you can still use the normal key in the drivers door.
