Skip work, go wheeling, pick it up on the way home. Doesn't sound like there's much to figure out. :boink:

Released the pressure in the jack to let it come down without making sure that the jack handle was clear... had nowhere to go but up. DOH

They are super bright, they don't live on a Truck right now though. Once I build a bumper for the Tundra they will have a home again. I put them on the 4runner but never wired them in. No leaks so far. I did just take them back off because I scored some Rigid lights for her.

Maybe if he was jacking up off center on a hill or something? But at least theres a larger drain hole for water... but a nice opening for Moab sand.

Still why is the damn jack still on the pumpkin like it is??? If it fell side to side i dont see how this happened. I can see it if it fell forward but he sad it was chocked... and i dont see anything that the jack could have catched on to keep from rolling with the truck shifting front to back.

I've recently learned that you guys get shafted on warranty work, is that the same for routine maintenance stuff (30k mile maintenance)? I dont want to schedule it with @lotsoftoys if he's not going to get paid for it.

shop recommendation by Park Meadows? Hopefully somewhere that could have it in and out in a day or two

I have a clunk that sounds like something in the front end but I couldn't diagnose. My pass tire is also feathering so it could be related but I probably need an alignment anyways

Whoa! I read that as "Maybe if he was jacking off up center on a hill..." Between that and you having your package handled by some unknown all weekend I would say we're having a good start to the week :burp:

I will bet it is your steering rack. I have a clunk, that can be felt in the feet, turning either direction. Lift one wheel off the ground and see if it has significant side to side play.
The clunk I have is the rack itself moving vertically, because the rack guide is shot.
There is a short video that shows the play.

I just replaced it about 20k miles ago but I'll have to check. I jacked up both sides and cranked on the tires in all directions, the DS was tight but the pass had a little bit of play somewhere. It sounds like something fin the front end shifts when changing forward/reverse

I checked the balljoints a few thousand miles ago and they were still tight
