My wife had never owned a dog. Never had any desire. Then one day a friend posted some pups on Facebook. A week later I met this guy up in Dallas.

Earlier this year we got Nacho from a shelter. He had a rough life and I wasn't sure that he was going to last after growling at the boys on 3 occasions. He was basically abandoned, chained to a tree on Ft Hood. Roles were learned, however, and all is well.

I can't imagine not having dogs in the house. Even with kids 50/50. It would seem so lonely and quiet.

We aren't sure what Nacho is, but we're told part chihuahua. Very fast and graceful runner. Like a grey hound. Pretty neat to watch him in full stride.

Reminds me of our girls. Both rescues, but polar opposites.

Lucy is on the right, and is "murder dog." If she doesn't like you she's going for your face. Not a joke. Sweet as pie to everyone in her "circle of trust" but vicious and mean to those outside. Well, that was until we decided to get her a peer model. Kiki, on the left, loves everyone. Since Kiki came last May, Lucy has gotten so much better.

    Cuddles time.
    IMG_1166.jpg

I still keep Lucy on a short leash when we go for walks, but she doesn't try to attack anyone anymore. She even let a stranger pet her about a month ago.

    We loves our puppies.
