What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

when i originally put my 5100's on the front with the eibach coils the struts were set at 0 and it only gave me 1.5" lift with my little 4 cyl. so i broke it down and moved the clip to the next setting .85 and eneded up with 2.5" still rides great and functions great

 

i wouldn't think unlucky mine for some reason provided a stupid amount of lift more than what they say it should the back of my truck is still like 2" higher than the front

 

to the gentleman who began the discussion about the lift and mentioned 275 tires my uses for my truck are much the same have you considered a size option like a 255/85/16 or 255/80/17? i know they're tall and relatively skinny but work very well in various terrains especially over rocks, logs, and mud jsut an option to consider

 

chad i thought about you and mike this evening on the way home i saw a great looking dc prerunner on 35's it actually looked almost exactly like mikes even spruce mica. a little envious you prerunner guys can get a good 4" lift i haven't seen anything more than 3" for 4wd unless you go with a db

 

Could go higher if I get coilovers and UCAs

Thats what I want. And I'm going to find some used TC uppers and lowers at some point. Keep the truck as long as possible

 

had my last truck 14 years and didn't like it like this one. i'm hoping to have this one much longer and never make it my dd to keep the miles lower at least as long as i work so far from home

 

Reading about all this lift stuff that you guys have been talking about made me realize one thing. I need to start a for sale thread to try and make some $$ to either invest in the 5100 set up, or buy some retros to make my front end "match" a bit better.

My 884's gave me a little over 2 inches at first and now it settled and it's almost 2 inches.

No... Not yet at least. But reading all the stuff these guys were posting, how inexpensive the 5100 set up, and how good the ride is, it's making me want to though.

Starting to experience that. Ever since I paid it off I've been buying and doing stuff to it. Here I was, thinking I'd be saving money but all I'm doing is spending even more.

Aint that the damn truth... I find myself paying way more per month on mods than I ever did making payments to the bank! At least she's all mine now and I get to make her my own.

You said you got the lift from the 5100 Bilsteins, do you know by any chance if the 5100's will fit the stocks coil springs for about 4 months until i buy new ones? Because i swore i read that somewhere but can't seem to find it, thanks.

 

They fit for 4 months or for 4 years.

Stock coils work just fine.
