NAPA rm oem's. Was going to just rebuild mine but after pricing out all the teeny parts and bearings and stuff, I'm just too lazy to do it, and the pricing is about the same. If I open the old ones and they just need a re pack, then I'll re boot them and return the new ones. Since it's my DD, I gotta do it in 1 day, so I figured it would be better to have another set to install in case mine are marginal.
I've taken my suspension apart so many times now I can strip it in about 30 min.

    Edit: I LOVE air tools!

Easy cowboy! One thing at a time!
Actually tho, probably just a rear. For what I use my truck for, a rear and a winch will pretty much do it.
Plus, Kris is all hot to get a Rubicon. We'll see how hot she is about writing a $45k check.

You shouldn't need to rebuild them, people go a couple hundred thousand miles and don't have problems.. at least that i've heard.

Yeah I just figured I have 130 k mi., and since I have it apart the peace of mind of everything new for an extra $200 is worth it. I hate to wait till stuff breaks, cuz it always seems to do it at the wrong time and place. Al I really need is the bushing and bearings. The axles are just so I don't have to take it apart again for a couple years.
    I hope.
Like I said, if I get the old ones about and they look good, I'll just clean and re pack and re boot them.

I dunno. I'm not going bigger than the 33' S I have now, BUT if I get a trailer, I might have to re gear. I'm not going to worry about it till feb. too much other stuff going on.
Plus, Santa comes Nov 5, so gotta get 138,000sq ft of mall common area decorated! Only 60 odd shopping days left!
Fucking hate the holidays. Spend a week getting the mall decor up, then come home and Kris wants me to do the house.:annoyed:

Currently trying to find the video from a past rock therapy. One guy went thru 3 Napa CVs on the same trail! They are insanely weaker than OEM CVs.
OEM Cvs have a different tulip design.

1.) your CVs don't need rebuilding. They only improvement you can really do is new C clips lol
2.) just order reman'd and rebooted ones from CVJ

Ok, thanks for the good advice! nAPA told me the ones they had were oem reman'S. That's why I ordered them, as I know about the tulip. Plus I've read that some of the others don't have the same range of motion.I'll check out the ones from cvj. I just wanted to have a set to install if mine are too knarled out. Thanks!

Well, tbh I've never heard of Napa using OEM remans... If that's true I mean then no worries. But that video showed Napa brand CVs.

But glad you've done some research  besides RCVs, OEM is the strongest.

Probably why NAPA has life-time warranty on them. You can just swap them out when they break haha

I looked at 4 door Rubis same time last year as my Taco. Cost was about the same out the door, though list was much higher on the Jeep. Chrysler discounts heavily off msrp, Toyota (especially Tacoma) does not.

Holy crap they really want 60 bucks for that removal tool? Give me 10 bucks and Ill make the same thing. But o well glad they still offer it :)

Since i know a couple guys have ordered through ECGS recently....see if you qualify for their rebate. Think you had to order between 10/11-11/15 or something like that though.
