Having issues updating my Entune on my taco. It pops up asking if I want to update when I turn it on, so I click update now. After about 5 seconds it fails.

I have tried Uninstalling Entune and reinstalling, un-pairing and pairing again.

But nothing seems to work to get it to update.

I believe you need to update via a USB stick in the dash... It's not gonna update from satellite or anything like that.. Call dealer..

Are you in an area with good data coverage? I believe it draws data off your phone to update the entune. So make sure you have a good data connection.

OOPS, I guess I'm in a thread that I should not be... I don't do cell phones or any of that crap. Sorry if I was off base there...! Thought OP just needed a software update to the "Head Unit"...!

I'll get outta here...sorry (I'm Cdn :canada:)...We always say sorry..!

I think he does. But the Entune head unit gets its updates by using the data off a connected cell phone.

I had this same issue for a little while. I thought it was my model of phone, so a service adviser at the dealership paired his phone and I logging into the entunes app on there and it worked. Come to find out, it was just poor signal quality. Every time I tried to update, I was leaving my house and my phone was in the middle of swapping over from wifi.

When in doubt, unpair BOTH the vehicle and the phone from each other and then pair them again.

My dealer just updated my Entunes when I took it in for the 15,000 service. He said it would resolve the rebooting while raining issue (waiting for rain to test that). Unfortunately, now the vehicle doesn't hand off phone calls to the truck properly. I just unpaired and paired again and it appears to be working properly again.
