Hey guys I need help before I eat a bullet so my 15 is ready to change diffs and tcase. Do I need lsd fluid in the rear. I have been told both, yes and no. From what I understand the lsd is more less electronically now. And advice.

 

You do not need the additive.

 

And yes, you have an open diff. The trucks computer senses wheel spin and applies braking to that wheel. Thus, sending the power to the opposing wheel, simulating a limited slip diff. TRAC is what they call it.

Me too, that's why they're on the wife's 4Runner. I almost got that wheel in bronze for my truck.

 

And they look so much better in person! Pics almost don't do the matte gray justice

 

I really like the looks of the TRD wheels, I've just got to many damn things I want to spend money on though.

I almost bought a gray tacoma too. It was down to two trucks, one white and one gray. I'm OCD about not doing what everyone else is doing and felt the white was just a bit more scarce. Sometime I wish I had gone gray though . . . until I see Dave's red truck and then I'm like --- DAMN THAT LOOKS GOOD!

 

Gears or an OBA set up? I've got the money for one or another and am planning on getting one now and the other in the spring. If I get gears now I can't get a locker just yet but may end up just grabbing a mechanical locker before March LBL and slipping that in there.
