Agree with this. There are enough people with compressors that can air you up.

That's what I'm leaning towards but don't know if I want to navigate Knoxville alley's with a mechanical locker plus my horn went out and I'm a big fan of using my horn so I was gonna just slap a train horn in with the OBA. Lol

Yep, Definitely Gears WITH a Locker. Even if it's a mechanical locker. Gears are a time-consuming pain in the ass. Doing them twice to add a locker later seems a waste of labor and money and you'll wish you had the locker. I had an F-150 I did the gears on, I added a Detroit locker to the rear and a Detroit Truetrac LSD to the front. It was a pretty awesome setup.

I'd probably still have it but it ended up meeting a bad end though...

How hard is it to put the locker in/take it out. Asking in case I get one and don't like DD'ing it

You'll be happy you did, and it will make your truck a lot more capable. The gear swap will also make it much more driveable. I can't wait to swap my gears out.

Looks like I wont be meeting any TN folks in a couple weeks. My second charging cable in a year has caught fire, in my bed, I think my phone is the source of the issue. Gotta shell out $500+ for a new phone so I wont catch my bed on fire again. This is a complete bummer. :(

In your sleeping bed or truck bed?? Maybe the battery is getting too hot from being insulated in the bedding. My wife had the same problem with her laptop cords for a while until we figured it out (not fire, just stop working after a short time). Plus laptop wasn't cooling correctly in general due to lack of air circulation.

I had plugged in my phone and it was just sitting on my bed tonight, wasnt covered by anything, just sitting on a nice cold sheet in the open, ceiling fan on full blast. It was plugged in for maybe two minutes and I saw sparks and flames. Immediately grabbed the cord, pulled it from the charger itself, pulled the cable from the phone and tossed the phone. Same thing happened last time. Cant remember how long ago the last fire happened, over six months ago but less than a year maybe. The phone is only a year and a half. And carriers are ridiculous. Upgrading isnt really upgrading anymore. Buying out of contract is the only thing that makes sense anymore.

you do realize that if your phone is catching fire, theres a much bigger issue at hand than getting a new phone out of contract. IF your home/room/property caught fire, thats a lawsuit pending how far you push it. I highly suggest you speak to top management and explain to them the situation (im sure if you took your phone apart there SHOULD be spark damage or black marks from the smoke) proving your case. You should get a new phone, no questions asked and no interruptions in your coverage and THE PHONE COMPANY should be glad you are not trying to take legal action (not sayin you would be gauranteed to win, but the time/money/hassle wouldnt be worth it to them).

Peacefully explain the situation to a top person (it must be management since the front desk goons are the first safety net to turn annoyed customers away) and you should be taken care of.

I have not purchased a phone under contract in several years. I've been paying for phones out of contract for a while. The last two phones have been the exact same model, purchased from the manufacturer, which is based out of China. Most "consumers" are unaware of this company's existence, but phone nerds know of this particular phone. I accidentally broke the first one with a leaf blower(dont ask) and I purchased another to replace the first. I cannot take apart my phone as its a unibody design. Someone suggest I complain on the company forums and sees what comes of it. I should do that now before I forget.
