How does the rear of the IFS skid attach to the cross member?

Both middle and rear have drop spacer tubes welded on to the top side of the skid that have a welded on cap with slotted holes to bolt through. Recesses the bolts up into the skid so the heads aren't vulnerable and also puts the skid in position that it clears a 1" diff drop

I'm a little late to the party here but I had less than 1k miles on mine and same thing happened to me. I smashed my skid plate and ended up bending not only it, but my front mount for my driver side LCA. Now, ever time i hit the brakes or go over any type of bump, it makes a god forsaken squeaking noise like it is an old 70s chevy. I'm going to be taking out the LCA this weekend and heating it up to straighten the LCA mount. Just remember to enjoy your truck and learn to fix the damage that comes with it. it is all part of the fun :)

This vehicle goes off road plenty. Its a pick up truck, not a tank. as long as it protects what I need it to protect then it will work just fine for me. Im not expecting to drive over any land mines or anything.

I'm not asking if it will suppress an IED, I'm asking how it does when you try and drag that nob over a rock.

It is more of an inclined plane than an exposed face, right? It should just slide up over whatever you are trying to clear. One reason to go steel instead of aluminum since it slides better.

Tattoos look cool right? So do scars on skid plates....

Honestly.. I've scratched the hell out of mine... I just give it a shot of grey spray paint every now and again to keep the gouges from rusting....

But everyone's right... get a real one if your doing anything but desert/beach running...

I'm not to worried about it. The reason I ordered the aluminum is because I'm not planning to rock crawl the truck. just wanted some peace of mind when I go play in the dirt. I figured that having that skid plate there is better than not having anything at all.
He makes steel skids if that's what you want. I just don't think I will be doing any super hardcore trails or anything. Relentless makes great stuff, I'm sure he can accommodate anything you might ask. Eric is a great guy.

That I have not seen or heard of. Not sure how different their IFS is to ours.
