Installing the new UCAs, adjusting the 5100s and an alignment after it's all done for $550. More than I wanted to spend but if I can get it all done and done right, I'll be happy.

Unless there's any chance you're free tomorrow after 5pm or Friday afternoon? :D @glorifiedwelder

I can get you in tomorrow but you'd have to get your alignment done Friday. I don't do alignments. But your alignment will be good enough to drive till the next afternoon

    This shit is ridiculous.

Nick, you bought a 13ish year old truck. Put some fucking money into it to keep it on solid ground. Quit bitching about it if you have so much "money". I've spent like $800 on taun these past 2 months. (Not on fun truck parts mind you) It's called love. Give your truck some real love first and stop filling its head with dreams of 4x4 & LT conversions.

Fumoto vlv can be bought on Amazon. I picked up the one with the nipple on the outlet side and 3/8" ID hose. Makes oil changes with skids a breeze. Providing you have an access port to the vlv on your skid. Stoked for you to get new skids. Congrats!

After reading so much great advice given to you in the previous pages I'm keeping this quote for when you break your Toyota. Brotha, Nick, your bank account may be rich with funny paper and you're smart for stacking it and not spending it; but you should really use it for maintenance when needed. For as hard as you say you wheel (which may just be wreckless wheeling and not hard wheeling :sorry:) and the mud you sop your truck in I would imagine you would listen to all the advice given to you, bud. A sound mechanic will give your truck a clean bill of health. It's worth the money and isn't only for the longevity of your truck but also the safety of yourself and others on the road driving along side you. Everyone is trying to lead ya to water but you're not drinking. Do it for America, MuricaTaco!

If you insist on taking it somewhere I’ve had good luck with Charles Automotive in Whittier. They are big into toyotas and also have many built rigs and host the Badboyz desert crew off-road club.

$550 seems like a hell of a lot for a simple job.. Does the upper already have a ball joint in it?

Alignment I could see $100. Still 440 for a few bolts is a lot :annoyed:

The upper is super easy if it already comes with a ball joint. Like 2 bolts to swap the upper and the shock is 4 bolts if I remember correctly... I just had pep boys compress the coils for me and set them for $40 for both.

But if you don’t have time thats another matter:bananadead:

Idk how much different it is for 1st gens, but when I did mine a few weeks back when putting in my Kings it was easy, aside from having to cut the U-Bolt thru bolts because Toyota made 3rd gen designs for mods stupid... but the joint is already in. It was as simply as unbolting the top 3, and thru bolt, and then putting the new one in.

    Its incredibly simple.

For the shocks its one bottom bolt, then the three top bolts and the shock falls out.

The 5100s can be adjusted by pep boys etc for about 30-40.

For the uca, the main bolt holding it in is kinda awkward and can be stubborn coming out but super simple and straight forward.

The only thing that made putting my tc uca on was because I had to weld coil bucket gussets and line everything up when my kings went in.

If I were back in solace right now id do it for you and only hold you accountable for some pizza:D @eon_blue

X2!!! But usually only takes a few hits:rofl:

And if the uca already has a ball joint in it then it’ll make everything even more simple
