Wix or OEM air filter???

which one you recommend??? Not interested in AFE or K&n. Wix or OEM for the air filter for my taco.

Both are high quality . I don't know if the OEM has more filter material or not. You should be good with either one.

 

I have been using OEM and DINO, every 5K.

 

Wix all day...saves lots of $ over time

 

I buy Napa gold air filter same as wix. I get on ebay for about 16 dollars. It's 5 dollars more if I go to the napa store plus tax.

go with a NAPA gold filter. they claim to filter out about 8% more than your average dealer's filter without sacrificing air flow.

Wix and napa are made in Poland.

 

I'm actually leaning towards the Wix, i believe is the same as Napa gold as someone said previously. Plus I can get in at Amazon for around $18 bucks

 

OEM air filter here for $15.68. I got the filter and a YZZD3 oil filter cheaper than Amazon or the dealer.

It was about 4-5 for me, but I ordered a few light things that I needed. I did a comparison and with shipping it came out to being just a little cheaper than the dealer. Never said it was a lot, but I live about an hour from the closest store that sells the stuff so it was worth it for me to ship it.

 

I bought a supposedly Wix-made genericly branded airfilter from Rockauto for $5+$5 shipping. It seems to have been pretty high quality

 

not sure if you just don't want a permanent filter you can reuse or if its the stupid high prices they want for them that you don't like, but if its about the price,

I had them in my 99 and now in my 04 and they are very high quality and work great and the price is very fair since its only what you would pay for 2 of the disposable paper ones

 

Well I went and bought a Wix at my local parts store since I had a coupon. Don't know if it's my mind playing games but I feel my truck sluggish on acceleration it felt different than when I had the OEM filter. I installed the dirty OEM filter and I felt the difference right away. I guess I'll stop by the stealership tomorrow and I'll get an OEM filter

 

All I can say if your that sensitive to tell a new WIX filter causes your truck to draw in less air then a dirty filter.

That tells me the Wix filter is a better filter then Toyota even when they are new

 

How is that???
