Good stuff, I tried the lever, but hated it cause my finger would hit in transitioning from the magwel into the trigger assembly. #fatfingers

Yours looks a lot like mine :anonymous: I think I'm going to build a .300 blackout when I get home. Change of pace from 5.56. Also looking to get into hunting and I think .300 is a better fit for it.

Though, with the regulations and new bullet buttons required, is the lever even necessary? I'd imagine it being useful if you have a full functioning mag release, being able to insert, a mag and release the bolt quickly, but seeing as you need to break down an AR now, isn't it almost obselete?

Not knocking your build, just had a thought come across as I was typing. #discussionpoints

The worst part is, we put an offer on a house 3 months ago, it was accepted. a GREAT house, but we pulled out because i found out about my health and diagnosis. It's now long gone and we we're sort of hating our 'conservative' decision on backing out because of the unknown. I'm still trying to convince myself it was a good choice, just in case, but bottles of booze later and 2 months in a hospital I'm kind of mad.

Yeah we're starting to button up our big jobs for the winter. Unfortunately My 2 jobs I have are for the same builder and he wants someone there rain or shine. So I'll be playing cards in the office trailer all winter. :D

So far the the patriot release isn't fully approved so I'm waiting on the official word before anything. Also, I got tired quickly of charging and pressing the button with my left hand while holding with my right. The one handed operation will be helpful and easier.

My hands are like ET hands, with the bulged trigger guard I have plenty of room in the well. My friend has a 300 blackout and is fun to shoot as well. He too doesn't like the BAD lever.

I know it's a little bit funky but if you go with the MMG AR grip you don't need a bullet button because it's no longer an assault weapon.

Gotcha, I get it. Interesting to hear everyones methods. I'm just a product of the lovely 'ol military with using my left thumb to release it. Creature of habit I suppose. When I get back let's go throw some led down range. I'm sure some of the other guys would join.

I've looked into it, I use the badger tactical on mine. easy manipulation every time. Each shooter has their preference.

Yeah the Raptors are ambidextrous and can be used with one finger. you can keep the rifle to your cheek and charge the BCG with one finger, try doing that on a stock charging handle and it's too thin and gets twisted and won't charge all the way.

I love em, but you're right, all boils down to shooter preference.

idk, regardless of which one i use, if I try and rack the handle I'm gonna hit my "proper support and consistent stock to cheek weld" lol
