Because it acts a fool on some surfaces.

If it activates, it stays in abs mode for a little while and is touchy as hell.

I haven't had the incident like others have, but when they are going towards a cliff and the abs is doing it's useless pulsing on certain terrain...you aren't slowing and the edge is getting nearer. It's happened to me on flat terrain, same issue just without the cliff to my death.

ABS causes more accidents, and soiled shorts, than it prevents. It was designed for drivers who do not know how to actually drive.

I disabled mine last year after I almost cornholed an element last year when my abs decided I was slipping. Which, I wasn't by any means.

Is it a later model 2nd gen thing? I have heard that combined with the traction control crap they added I believe in 2009 that the computers have issues.

My ABS rarely comes on even in 4 hi so I haven't found an issue to "delete" yet. My understanding at least in my 2007 is that it will not come on at all under 5mph.

Mine was just giving me trouble in the snow. Once I wired in the switch I had no more issues. Would just kick on at the slightest brake no matter what speed. Now I turn it off when there's snow on the roads. I can stop when I want to now!

My buddy disabled his abs on his 2006, I just think it's a bad idea in any form. I pulled the fuse on my van too. Light is on all the time but the brakes work now.

I just haven't encountered an issue so I don't see a need to bypass a system that could possibly cause other ECU "errors" without understanding the full concern. I was wondering if it was tied the models that had the VSC on them.

Did your buddy have problems with the ABS on his 2006? Or did he just do cause?

Flat spots on tires suck. I'd rather have the abs. I can pump the brakes as well without it being disabled.

Can't pump brakes when it's decides to go kick in.
