Gotcha, yea I think a little lift in the front to level it with some 265/70r17 would put me right where I want to be, what offset would be good to get that little bit of stuck out look on those 17s?

I get it. I just sold a Cruze diesel I drove for a year. This car is supposed to go into "regen" on it's own. This heats up the particulate filter and burns out the soot. It does this without you knowing. When the Regen is beginning, it is supposed to have a message not to stop the car while the regen starts. Mine never had a message and went into limp mode turning off the turbo. The Chevy dealer had to do a Regen and wanted me to pay $320 under warranty because GM said that was driver error. I started a case with GM, and they refused to cover it under warranty. I finally had to threated to put reviews on every online review site known to man, if they didn't cover it. The dealer ended up paying for the repair, not GM. I am convinced that had this situation come up in a Toyota, it would have been different. I could be wrong. They all suck when they put out a bad design. Toyota just does is less than most.

Yeah not a bit of vibration here. And my gas mileage and shift patterns are spot on since the TSB was done. I honestly love my truck now.

Yeah then instead of a vibration, it'll just eat its own camshafts.

    Ur !
I have 3 friends with new Tacomas and they all vibrate at 1800 rpm
Some in the pedal some in the steering wheel .
The dealership said that is a well known issue with the new tavomas but there is nothing they can do about it because Toyota corporate claims that is normal ! Wtf the designed a truck to vibrate ?!
Some theories out there are ...
Engine mouths r not good and cheap some others claimed that the exhaust is the problem ,some people replaced the exhaust with the flowmaster and the vibration went away ,some others they didn't have any luck
Sorry I'm done complaining this is the wrong tread for that :)

That sucks, and would drive me crazy. You're just not going fast enough. Hit the dump fuel button and put her in warp speed.

Could I just use spacers with my stock wheels to gain the back spacing w/o having to buy new wheels?

Now you're talking to someone who doesn't know much. I'm the guy that put a lift on his truck he doesn't like. I'm sure there is a thread specifically dealing with wheels and leveling kits. I'd look there or call a good off road shop like 4 wheel parts.

It amazes me that every abnormal problem found in our 2016 Tacomas are declared to be "normal operation" by dealers. Seems like a trained universal response. Maybe we have been driving abnormal vehicles our whole entire life so we don't recognize what real normal is. Insert DUH here. Don't blame the puppet (Toyota dealer) but blame the puppet master (Toyota Corporation).

I traded a 2015 Chevy Colorado I had built for this Tacoma. Had the Colly 6 months, I could see problems down the road so I sent her to a new home.

I guess what I'm trying to say, and I posted only because your post made me think about it some, is that what I do in that sort of situation is about me and nobody else. That's why the company or other party has no bearing on my thought, they have no affect on what I feel is right or wrong for me to do.

Anyway thanks for being cool and letting me chime in.
