Those are what I was looking at too, they sell a 4 pack on Amazon with prime, so if the local canopy guy wants an arm and a leg that's what I'll order.

That's a good idea, I'll see what the local dealer says for price. For transporting the canopy home I'll probably just have to use ratchet straps and drive slow.

I used 4 C-clamps to get mine home. Works fine.

Ok so I think I'm understanding this a bit better now. Ha. So I should see how the dakars perform. Take some measurements. Then weld on some shock mounts. That can be done. My bro is gonna be helping me install and he's got a nice welder. Was hoping I wouldn't have to. But sounds like this is my only option to get it right.

Any suggestions on mounting options and shocks to look into?

I slapped this together in a few hours with scrap that was laying around. Currently some 10" 5125s in there.

I wasn only going off of full droop making sure the shocks didnt act as the limiting factor. I knew those skyjackers had enough travel that i shouldn't need to worry about bottoming them before hitting bumps (not on in pic)

You would normally break pack down to main leaf and compress the suspension that way.

Alright. I finally get it all now. And it all makes perfect sense now. Lol. But this is turning out to be more work than I expected. I may have to reconsider my rear options. As far as dakars go. Not sure I'm quite ready for that project.
