So from my understanding with the solo WIY shock hoop the tire will rub the shock body itself at flex/bump. UNLESS you run a skinny rear tire or wheel spacer or run a 2.0 shock

Thats what im currently running and have zero complaints other than the pieces didn’t fit perfectly when welded in..

Alright guys, how about all pros 3" standard rear kit? May not give me crazy travel in the rear, but doesn't say anything about relocating shocks.. I'd be happy with that if it's all bolt on.

Not like I'm gonna be rock crawling my prerunner. Heh. Just trails mostly.

Nothing stopping you from using nitrochargers or equivalent with the dakars btw. Just wont be able to fully take advantage of the travel available.

It will be same story no matter what leaf pack you get.

In all honestly, relocating the rear shocks is the correct solution to pair spring and shocks to maximize travel, but is unnecessary for 98% of people on here.

Ask yourself how you use, or intend to use, your truck before deciding if you want to setup a custom rear shock setup.

FWIW, an incorrectly done relocation could be just as bad if not worse than factory mounts.

So let's say I do go with dakars and nitros/fox.. What are we talking about As far as limited travel? And possible issues bottoming/topping out the shocks? As long as I'm not thrashing it anyways.. Because like I said, not doing anything rough. Usually trails. And it's gotta be better than how it's set up now. Blocks and worn leafs, and shot shocks. Would I just be missing out on a little extra travel? Because the dakars seem like one of the cheaper options as far as leaf packs go.

Edit: then down the road I can plan out my shock relocate...

You shouldn't bottom them out if you're staying stock length. Which nitrochargers are, you'll have decent amount of travel. But the shocks limit you, if you won't be doing hardcore stuff you'll be alright

Went to Yota Jim's junkyard to get an intake tube, then ordered an airbox off Ebay. Piece of shit K&N that the previous owner put on split at the tube and vacuum box junction.

Also ordered a factory air filter for the new box and some outer tie rod ends from Rock Auto.

You don't have to relocate anything to run dakars/nitrochargers. There's still plenty of travel for me and probably most people here.

Aha! The truth comes out! Ha jk. I think I am gonna do that then. But just be careful with it when offroading. Then plan out my relocate later if I decide I need more travel. I'm sure it'll be 10x more travel than I have now even without.. Ha.

Are you running any special bumpstops Or anything?

Agreed, you will not overextend/compress your nitros with Dakars. I flexed the shit out of my OME setup and the shocks are just fine. You may lose at most an inch of travel, which I'm guessing with a prerunner you probably won't need anyway.
I was running stock bumps with my Dakars/nitros, you could run superbumps but the compressed height will be about the same.
