New Taco Mods

Evening y'all.

I just got a 2017 White Tacoma TRD Sport double cab, and I'm gonna do some simple changes. I'm gonna plasti-dip the side chrome "tacoma's" and maybe the v6, or just removing that instead.

I want to plasti dip the grill too, dunno yet. I like keep it modest, not annoyingly flashy. End goal is a storm trooper look, White and Black

Any recommendations for these three things.

1. New Tires AND Size of lift
2. LED Headlights (the stock halogens
are trash, I almost always use fog
and headlights at night in town)
3. Running boards


Anything that's high quality, well reviewed, and reasonably priced is ideal. Thanks y'all!

Do you plan to take the truck off pavement? That will greatly influence both the type of lift and the running boards... or lack there of

 

Yes, but it's only RWD unfortunately. I live in SoCal so we have some dirt trails and such, but nothing crazy. It's mainly my daily driver on pavement.

Well that makes a big difference! In that case you've got 2 basic options of lift.. a crappy block lift up front and add a leaf in the rear or something like bilstien 5100's up front.. the block will makes it ride worse and only give you a visual upgrade.

As to the leds and running boards I can't help you much, sorry

 

Get the PRO grill - its all black will look great for the storm trooper thing.Then Plasti-dip the chin thing black ..

Pretty much any "LED" replacement bulb is trash as well, HIDs are still beating LEDs probably for another 5 years.
