    So, as part of my new no/low sodium changes, I do alot of dehydrated foods. Apples, strawberries, peaches, jerky and the list is expanding. Well right now I have some cinnamon apples going in the dehydrator now and the house smells like a big apple pie. I made some earlier and they are pretty awesome.

    I should have done this years ago. I can pack my lunch with a variety of stuff to get me through the day. No bruised fruit, no sappy wet stuff in my lunch box, I just grab and go. For a single person, it's pretty ideal. I put whatever I'm dehydrating in at night and let it run all night while I'm sleeping or , if I prep it at night I'll let it run all day while I'm at work.

    Is it a big commercial dryer?
    My pops dries venison jerky, thats about it.

    It comes with 5 trays. You can run up to 7. I think we got it at Kohl's. I'm going to order 2 more trays. With my wife and I, I load it just about every day. I just did a 4 day trip and took enough dehydrated food to last the entire trip. Made travel a lot easier.
