Death Valley Tacoma Takeover December 8-11

looks like we almost have a full crew for the 8-11th. That sounds like a good date. I have a cool route in mind. Doing a piece of it in a few weeks to finish it off. Will prob stay to the north this trip, I came in from the south last time and only a small piece was worth the trip.

 

We have a trip going Nov 17-20th if anybody wants to tag along. Let me know and we will get you in the communication loop.

 

Anyone up to lead (never been out there) leaving late Nov 10 or early on 11th come back 13th?

 

I will be up there with another group that weekend. Maybe see your group on the trails.

 

So I think I have a fun route that we could take. Kinda want it to be a three night though (4 if you count the night of travel to DV). I am pretty sure that would scare away everyone on this forum though. If we still have a group interested, I will post up a route soon.

 

I'm in for Thursday to Sunday. Will have to bail early (mid morning) Sunday to make it back before the kids' bedtime.

 

I may be able to make that work. Kids with us?

What time would y'all be heading out on Thurs?

 

either before traffic or after traffic. I like before but will depend on the group leaving from the bay. Either way we leave from big pine in the AM on friday.

 

Mind if my girlfriend and I tag along? We could leave Thurs a round 7:00pm. If that's too late we can catch up in Big Pine.

 

I will be shifting this thread soon to be the actual trip and you are both more than welcome. I will try to have the thursday night camping spot semi easy to find if I get a group leaving early, but won't be surprised if we all end up heading out later.

could do friday night and meet us at Saline Valley. Saturday morning and you may be camping alone if we get to Lippencott before you.

Lippencott should be easy for you to find, it is for me. But from there we won't know where we will be until we are there.

Really looking forward to it! This will be my first time out to Death Valley.

Anyone have a list or suggestions on what I should bring that I may not think of?
