    Finally got around to Wrapping my steering wheel and the Oh Shit Handles inside with 550 cord. Did it all for free to cuz I "acquired" it from some guy I work with that is getting kicked out of the army

    Going to possibly use them to get retros done since I'm not really sure if I could "handle" doing a BHLM myself.

    Few guys making these larger, machined knobs these days..

    I wish any of them would taper them down some on the bottom so the shifter shaft isn't so dramatically smaller than the knob itself. Looks chunky and brick like, which is a bummer.

    It really doesn't bother me at all. In my area most houses look similar. There's older neighborhoods with " character " where the houses look different from each other. But my wife and I didn't want those areas (schools, close to family). Also we don't want an older home bat needed a lot of updates.

    That's why I refused to build in any area with an HOA. When my wife and I were looking, we'd sit down with the builder's agent and the first question I would ask is, "Do you have an HOA in this development?" If they answered yes, we got up and walked out. If they passed the HOA question, the next question was, "Do you have any lots big enough for a Rambler with 3 car garage and at least 12' on the side of the garages for an RV pad?" Most didn't pass this question so it narrowed our search for a builder quickly!

    It's all good. Different strokes different folks. My last neighborhood I lived in with my house had no HOAs. And a lot of people let their yards and houses go to crap. So I'm actually cool with picky HOAs now.
